LAND OF POLAR BEARSTRANSCRIPT
LAND OF THE POLAR BEARS Sep 02 - Sep 11 2012
9 day voyage aboard Better Moments own ship and explorer and discover the wilderness and wildlife of Arctic Norway by Zodiac and hiking.
With our Better Moments award win-
ning wildlife photographer Anders
Geidemark and the Better Moments
wildlife explore trained staff, we will
travel to the edge of the ice-world and
into land full of stunning tidewater
glaciers, sparkling icebergs, and ex-
plore fjords that split the rugged coast-
lines. We will trek on the tundra, and
search the edge of the pack ice for po-
lar bears, walruses, seals, reindeer, and
arctic foxes. Nowhere can the polar
bear be seen more reliably in its natu-
ral environment than here.

Day 1 Pick up at the air port and embark the Better Moments ship M/S ORI-GO - your base for adventure the next 9 days.
Days 2-9 Exploring Svalbard
ITINERARy - 9 DAyS
This voyage and workshop is undertaken in the spirit of discovery, and
our travel in the archipelago is exploratory by design. In a region ruled
not by humans but by polar bears, we let nature and our experts guide
our course.
We are travelling in the period when the light at Svalbard’s latitudes is simply magical. The sun has started to drop below the horizon at night, and the light is magic for breat taking pictures. The concept for our workshop is that we have plenty of time and are able to go to places that others ex-peditions are not able to get to.
Photography from M/S Origo As the vessel has relatively low decks, but which are still safe from polar bears. The opportunities for varied photography provided by the ship’s construction are many, and are make a decisive difference compared to the majority of other vessels that operate around Svalbard with perhaps 50 or more passengers.
