Design and replace 4.5 kilometres of existing Overhead (OH)11kV Aerial Bundle Cable (ABC)and Fibre Optic Cables with new 22kV ABC and Fibre Optic Cable (ADSS) Oil Search Limited(OSL) powerline.

Recover 4.2km of aged and damaged OH ABC and ADSS cable. Install new 22kV ABC, linehardware and ADSS Cable on 103 poles including new deviation line totalling 4.5 km adjacentto connecting road and gas flow line corridors. Elevation climb of 500m over 4.8 km, from sea level from 920m to a height of 1420m.

Install 2 new UG 75mm 11kV HV UG cable and ADSScable crossings 80 metres and 25 metres. 1 x HV cable joint in 2 km section between terminations and 24 otherHV cable terminations at UG cable points.

Testing works included cable drum tested prior to HV cable installation, cables tested on completion of installation prior to any cable jointing or terminating wascompleted and end to end testing.

CURRAGH MINE HIGH VOLTAGE WORKS PROJECTBetta Power Services are the preferred Overhead Powerline Contractors for working at the Curragh Westfarmers Coal Mine at Blackwater. Betta Power Services carried out all routine maintenance of the overhead poles, ABS’s, Transformers on the private Curragh 66kV/22kV Networks.

Betta Power attends any emergency breakdown or forced outages for the site. Betta Power Services also carries out any capital or new project work on the site. 05

CANOONA ROAD AIRFIELD LIGHTING PROJECTBetta Power Services were engaged by Spotless to carry out installation of lighting for the helicopter landing zones for the Chinook and Appache helicopters for the Singaporean Army.

This included 800m of trenching and cable pulls, installation of the metal lighting standards.

Lighting control for the lights was extremely complicated as each individual light had to be controlled from one location.

Betta Power Services designed and constructed the control system to suit the Client’s requirements.

Betta Power Services completed the project on time, on budget with no LTI’s.

POLE & SWITCHBOARD PROJECTAurizon engaged Betta Power Services to change out 100 power poles and 50 CMP switchboards. The locations of the project varied from Winton in the Central West to Gladstone in the South and Mackay in the North.

The project scope expanded midway through the project life cycle to include HVABS Replacement, Transformer Replacement and Tower Removal.
