Module descriptions (if you would like us to consider a combination of modules due to a different curriculum

structure at the other university, please enclose all relevant module descriptions)

A separate application must be submitted for each module from which you wish to be exempted.

Applications for dispensation have to be submitted on time even if not all the required documents (e.g., grades) are available yet.

Grades or other evaluations of academic work from other universities will not be transferred.

Students will only receive the ECTS credits of modules from which they have been exempted.

Transcripts of records do not list modules from which a student has been exempted.

Modules from which a student has been exempted are listed as part of his or her academic record in the degree certificate, including the reason for the dispensation. The exempted modules do not affect the grade average because they are not taken into account in calculating the final grade.

Once submitted, applications for dispensation cannot be withdrawn.

Students receive a credit transfer agreement in duplicate listing all modules from which they have been exempted. A signed original must be submitted to Student Services.

Students who have been exempted from a module cannot attend the respective classes, nor are they entitled to do the respective performance assessments.

Applications for dispensation in the fall semester must be submitted no later than Calendar Week 33, those for the spring semester no later than Calendar Week 3. Applications that are submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

If an application for dispensation is denied, an appealable order can be requested. To request such an order, please contact Student Services (studentservices.sml@zhaw.ch).
