Why Participate?

The BEST Program worked with Sunshine Kids Pre-School, a bilingual Chinese and English speaking school in Fremont to retrofit their high wattage fluorescents to energy efficient T8s and LED exit signs. Nathan Yang of Sunshine Kids stated, “It’s much brighter, and we are definitely saving energy. It’s great!”

The Home of Christ Church in Fremont was using energy guzzling 30 and 34 watt fluorescents to illuminate it’s many study rooms and halls. The BEST Program replaced all of their lighting to more efficient 32 watt fluorescents. Accord-ing to Louis Chu, “There is definitely an improvement in energy and cost savings and the lighting levels are great.”
