Power up your unit and make sure it is ready to use.

Give guests hand sanitizer before touching equipment, and immediately after taking controllers and removing their headset.

Help guests put on and remove headset and VR backpack to help minimize their contact with the equipment.

Make your hygiene process highly visible, reinforcing the priority placed on your guests’ health and safety.

Safety as the first priority provides comfort to your guests and confidence in your brand.

To reduce environmental waste we recommend for the operator to keep gloves on in between cleanings and use hand sanitizer on the gloves in between each guest. Then throw out your gloves periodically, or at the end of each day.

Although PU leather is water-resistant, its porous structure makes cleaning with disinfecting alcohol less effective. Over time, the alcohol will wear the PU leather. If you notice any cracking or tearing of your PU leather faceplate, it should be replaced with a new one immediately.

Using a dry microfiber cloth, remove any contaminants, dust, or debris from:

1. Headset external body

2. Headset frame

3. Headset faceplate

4. Controllers

5. Any other elements that have been touched

Use ONLY isopropyl 70% alcohol-based, non-abrasive or anti-bacterial solutions.

Spray the alcohol solution onto a microfiber towel.

When using these products, wet the surface until it is visibly wet. The surface should remain wet for 10 minutes (or therecommended EPA kill time).

Use a NEW, dry microfiber cloth (without alcohol, as this can damage lenses) to remove any remaining wetness or residue from the headset and controllers after 10 minutes has passed.

DO NOT use a solution that contains more than 75% alcohol.

DO NOT use products that contain ammonia, bleach, or peroxide.

DO NOT spray the alcohol solution directly onto the equipment.

DO NOT apply disinfectant solutions to fabric or straps.

We recommend the UV treatment method with a as the most time effective sanitizing solution. This Guide also advises on protocol when a UV solution is not available.

PLEASE REVIEW: THE TWO SANITIZING METHODS to determine the best solution for your venue.

DO NOT USE ALCOHOL OR WIPES OVER NANO-TREATED AREAS. The solution will impair the effectiveness of the nano treatment.

There is no need to re-apply the nano spray for approximately 6-12 months.

You can test with a single drop of water; if it rolls off you are good. If the water permeates the surface, you need to re-apply nano.

* YOU WANT ITEMS TO BE NO MORE THAN 2-3 INCHES FROM THE LED LIGHTS.

You can achieve this by placing a tray on the bottom of a CX unit to provide a platform and raise the controllers closer to the UV lights.

This means if the light can't "see" the surface, it can't clean it. You will need to rotate the controllers after 2 cycles and repeat the process.
