Dear Readers,

The greeting in the last newsletter was dedicated to the financial crisis, so in this newsletter I want to share with you two very important events that I hope can bring you joy and happiness. The news relates to two historic achievements of our Group. First, we have been awarded, in a joint venture with Gruppo Intesa San P a o l o , t h e b a n k i n g a n d ticketing activities for EXPO 2015. And second, we won the tender for t h e S t a d i u m L . F e r r a r i s concession management. In both cases these are contracts that will develop over a long period of time.

ITALY UAEUK USASINGAPORE

Our victory in the difficult race for the EXPO 2015 ticketing contract was based on the unique functionality and architecture of BOS, which has been evaluated by EXPO 2015 to be the ideal tool to showcase Italian excellence and demonstrates our ability to create a national system. It was an opportunity that we could not afford to lose given our group’s status as the undisputed leader in its market and considering that this is an exhibition of Italian culture. The beautiful theme of EXPO 2015 is "Feeding the planet, energy for life" which provides the opportunity to focus on a wide variety of topics in our marketing of EXPO admission ticket sales.

Tw o H i s t o r i c a l Milestones for the Best Union Group

The real challenge will be to reach as many participants as possible while we promote both Italy and the Expo. The results of the first half of the year were satisfactory and allowed us to confirm all the goals set out in the strategic plan. We expect that the increase in margin can be translated into investments for growth to the satisfaction of our group’s members and employees. In the next issue we hope to announce other important news regarding orders and results. I take this opportunity to wish everyone a great holiday shared with those we love.

The Tar for Lombardy has, on the 10th of September 2012, suspended the award of the tender issued by the Teatro alla Scala Foundation in Milan with an order of the Board of the Section Three n.1241/2012.

This event represents the formal recognition of findings of the adjudication committee during the project evaluat ion when they awarded t he t e chn i ca l o f f e r presented by Charta S.r.l. a higher score than the other competitors. It is a concrete recognition of t h e e x p e r t i s e a n d professionalism that at all times characterizes the work of Charta S.r.l. and makes it a n a t i o n a l l e a d e r o n t h e t h e a t r i c a l a n d m u s e u m ticketing market.

A N O T H E R S T E P FORWARD FOR THE INNOVATION FOR THE BEST UNION GROUP!

Becoming more and more “social” and interactive, with an application to download for iPhone and tickets with QR code, Marmomacc (www.marmomacc.it) has started the 2.0 Revolution. The Verona Fair (26/29 September), the most important international exhibition dedicated to marble, stones and granite, won the sixth most popular social media position on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Linkedin, Pinterest and Google Plus. Who says that marble is a synonym of ancient? A cliché disproved by the results of the research.

All the “colors” of marble, created by Marmomacc reveals how people under 30 have been discovered to be great admirers of natural stone, with 46% of them considering it the most elegant material.

Marmomacc 2012 now debuts the application available to download from the Apple Store (just type “Marmomacc”). The initiative, conceived as a new instrument in service for exhibitors and operators, allows you to use your iPhone to view information about the event, including a map of the exhibition and a catalog of participating companies. Thanks to the QR code in every entrance ticket, the app allows you to collect the electronic business card of visitors and keeps count of the contacts for the stand.

Degas , in t he Impress ion i s t movement, was characterized by some o f t he i r pecu l ia r i t i e s , addressing different issues and mastering the various techniques of construction. He gave great importance to the design from the beginning, revealing over time an ex t raord inar y ta len t . He preferred to make quick sketches from life and then reported on canvas or paper in the studio with a careful construction of the final composition. His painting neglected the immediacy of the Impressionists based on visual sensations and masterfully grasped the essence of a moment. "He loved drawing very much" - as Degas wanted to be written on his grave and never so concise a definition was more truthful. The exhibition in Turin reveals the full path of an extraordinary genius: the protagonist of the unique artistic season in Paris in the late nineteenth century. Charta and Best Union Group, who have worked for years alongside the major Italian cultural institutions on pre-sale services and online bookings, is proud to be a partner of this important initiative and happy to be part of a winning team.

ONE STEP BY DEGASD e g a s . M a s t e r p i e c e s from the Musée d’OrsayFrom the 18th of October until the 27th of January the house of the Society for Promotion of Fine Arts in Turin will be the stage for the most important exhibition that Italy has devoted to Edgar Degas in recent decades. With more than eighty works displayed, the French artist, one of the protagonists of the artistic impressionist season from the second half of the nineteenth century, will be revealed throughout his artistic career: from the impressive scenery or Parisian cafes, to the naked figures, from his favorite subject , the horses, to the world-famous dancers. All this is made possible thanks to the efforts of the municipal administration, especially the Mayor Piero Fassino and the Councillor for Culture Maurizio Braccialarghe, in order to restore the capital of Piedmont at the center of national cultural scenario. Thanks also to the close collaboration between the publisher Skira and the Musee d'Orsay in Paris on the editorial and the creation and production of the big exhibitions.Degas also had a special relationship with Italy. His experience there was the inspiration of one of his greatest masterpieces in the exhibition, Family Portrait (The Bellelli Family, 1858-1869), a work that only on rare occasions has left the museum in Paris in part due to its considerable size (2 x 2.5 meters).

Th i s i s one o f t he mos t renowned and appreciated masterpieces of the entire work o f Degas , w i t h f i n e psychological study that investigates the relationship of this Italian family.

In the contemporary art house in Venice, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the cultural production never stops, even in autumn. From the 29th of September to the 10th of February 2013, make space for an Italian artist of “900 extremely versatile and effective styles.” We are talking of Giuseppe Capogrossi (Roma 1900-1972), a graduate in law but always linked to the world of painting, and considered without a doubt one of the central characters of the artistic scene after World War II.With his painting “Surface 210” displayed at the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation in New York since 1958, and now the Venetian museum dedicating a single and comprehensive retrospective to him, the path shows the artistic development of the painter and of his language, which, according to critics, has identified Capogrossi with the taste of an era, an Italy flourishing and optimistic, educated at the full economic boom of the mid-last century. The exhibition, which includes more than seventy works, is curated by Luca Massimo Barbero and realized in collaboration with the Capogrossi Archive Foundation, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic and under the Patronage of the Misistry of Heritage and Culture.Capogrossi made his debut on the art scene in 1927, together with his colleagues Cavalli and Di Cocco at the Dinesen Pension in Rome.

Then he participated in 1933 at the exhibition in the Gallery Bonjean in Paris, presented by the well-known critic Waldemar George who first referred to this group with the term Ecole de Rome. After the first figurative experiences he then passes to the abstract, passing through neocubism, real izing his own personal path characterized by a unique single-shape that develops in endless variations along the surface

A JOURNEY IN THE JURASSIC AGE WITH THE TIME MACHINEAfter the huge success of Rome and Turin, by popular demand from October 31th, the "monstrous" Days of the Dinosaur exhibition returns to Naples!

You can watch various species, all necessary to explain the evolution and the wide variety of samples classified as dinosaurs.

Some of them are true icons for exper t paleontologists, as the Archeaopteryx or Microraptor, w h i l e o t h e r s , l i k e t h e Brachiosaurus and T-Rex are well-known to the general public thanks to shows such as Jurassic P a r k a n d Wa l k i n g W i t h Dinosaurs. For this third stage of the exhibition Italian Amit and the Best Union Group were again chosen as a partner in this adventure at the dawn of the earth. "At the Boat Show this year we closed important contracts and contacts, especially with regard to foreign cus tomers,” said the President of Fair Genoa, Sara Armella. “And we point out a record of satisfaction from many exhibitors. This confirms the effectiveness of the choices made and encourages us to make a real change of pace.”"The evolution of the market,” said the CEO of Fiera di Genova, Beppe De Simone, “will bring us ever closer to a Boat Show of quality and less towards a Salon quantity. It will work for the future by offering a show appealing to an increasingly attentive and competent attendee."

After opening during signs of crisis the 52th edition of the Genoa Boat Show has ended with moderate signs of optimism and a willingness to engage the process of profound change required to effectively meet the drastically changing needs of the market. The show had 900 exhibitors, 1,400 boats on display on the four pavilions, two marinas and wide open spaces. The numbers witnessed at the Genoa Boat Show continues to be a reference point in international yachting. Beyond the inevitable decline in numbers there were satisfactory results reflected in the total number of attendees: 176,280 in addition to 4,000 children up to 10 years.
