Dear Readers,following the first quarter double-digit growth in each of the major economic indicators we have closed the first half with light and dark results in different budget items.The macroeconomic outlook has not been positive for six years, in Italy as well in Europe.

This is the reason that aimed our investments, in countries such as France and China, in order to enter markets in which our Group could not claim a significant presence.During the month of September we launched B2C sales for EXPO 2015 with great results, both from a technological and image point of view.

This is why we need to seriously reflect on ourselves and do our best, as it has already happened in the past, to improve the profitability both of our contracts and our company.

New people have recently come on board and others will come to improve our skills and to become part of a Group, our Group, that aspires to grow also thanks to best talents. We still have many difficult months ahead of us and ambitious new challenges too.

Under these conditions, it is not a matter of choice: we must understand that we can not waste our energy by acting inefficiently and poorly. Instead we must focus our energy on giving each other our best and, all together, to prove it to our customers and partners.I have no doubt that we will.The next newsletter will be full of pleasant surprises and novelties.

The European Attractions Show 2014 took place from 23 until 25 September 2014 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, The Netherlands, and OmniTicket Network and IREC, the newly acquired company by Best Union team, wereonsite and exhibiting in Booth #8357 and Booth #8717.

In Booth #8357 the omniticket team proudly promoted the Best overview Solution (BOS)! BOS is the global solution for ticketing, retail POS, access

control, stored value cards and online sales, and is installed at theme parks and attractions around the world.

Recently BOS has been installed at multiple prestigious attractions, including the Louvre

museum, finnair skywheel in helsinki, hornblower Niagara Cruises, roosevelt park Zoo and wet ‘n’ wild sydney.

In Booth #8717 the ireC team highlighted their Global Ticketing System (GTS), which currently is installed at impressive sites worldwide, including the city

of paris, Georges pompidou Centre, océanopolis, Aquaboulevard, Louvre-Lens,

futuroscope, Culturespaces, Aqualand, puy du fou, happy Valley (China), musée d’orsay,

marineland and more!

The Best Overview System (BOS) has been installed to manage ticketing and access control at the lovely dunn’s river falls in Jamaica.The turn-key installation included weather-resistant ticketing workstations, the latest handheld scanners and two different models of turnstiles to ensure all guests can safely enter the facilities with valid tickets. The OmniTicket Network project team provided onsite support, installation and training, and took time to enjoythe opportunity to visit this world-famous waterfall which is considered to be one of Jamaica’s national treasures!

With the Caribbean Sea as its source, Dunn’s River Falls flows more than 600 feet and climbing the Falls provides a popular tourist activity. Dunn’s River Falls is well known to be a favorite destination on the friendly island which provides a world famous scenic view that most visitors can’t resist photographing.

The OmniTicket Network team in Singapore provided a comprehensive array of services, software and equipment to support the accreditation and access control for the 2014 singapore Grand prix, which began on the 21st of September and was ultimately won by Lewis Hamilton in an exciting nighttime event!

The Singapore Grand Prix is the longest race of the season, running the limit of two hours, and is thought to be the most difficult and tiring race of the season as well.

And the OmniTicket project team worked tirelessly before and during this multi-night event to make sure they were well prepared to validate and welcome spectators and ensure security standards were met!

Overall the project went very smoothly, and by the first race day the OmniTicket team was well prepared to support the expected admission of over 250,000 spectators in just 3 days!

the teAtro LiriCo iN CAGLiAri, home to the Foundation of the same name, is active all year round, offering symphony and chamber music, lyrical opera and ballet seasons. Together with the Teatro Lirico Orchestra and Choir, numerous talented artists have performed on its stage, the stars of many important productions.

The theatre’s 2014 concert calendar includes two important reviews, a varied symphony season and an interesting series of concerts dedicated to chamber music.

The season 2014-2015 de laVerdi is going to last 16 months: from September 2014 to December 2015, including the

expo, without any break.

64 weeks of music, from Baroque to Contemporary, many premières, operas in the form of concerts, Jazz, music for films, dance, the great symphony and symphony-coral pieces, the great repertoire for violin, piano, and for different musical instruments,

in addition to many extraordinary concerts.

There are 88 concerts scheduled during the Expo semester: 58 concerts for the symphony season, 14

concerts of a new cycle (Around the World), a tribute to the Expo participating countries, in addition to 16 special

events, including the Concert for europe and the Concert for the closing of the expo.

Specifically, laVerdi asked Nicola Campogrande to realize 24 “Expo Variations”, to represent the national differences in the featuring unity of the world, and to the Oscar winner Luis Bacalov to compose a buffo divertissement about the wine, extracted from a comedy by Giancarlo Cignozzi. Besides, a melologue by Fabio Vacchi will be presented, based on a text by Michele Serra, and inspired by the theme “Milan, a city on the water”.

The season of laBarocca (11 concerts) combines the traditional appointments of Handel’s Messiah, the Christmas Oratorio and the Easter Oratorio by Bach, extraordinary pieces by Alessandro Scarlatti, Giacomo Carissimi and Henry Purcell.

On Saturday afternoon there will be the cycle Made in Italy (12 concerts) which will focus on Italian music.

Another news: 5 discovery events, with music from 1900 and contemporary music. Apokàlipsis will open the cycle “Feeding the Spirit”, to be hosted in the churches of Milan, an oratorio composed by Marcello Panni and based on a project of Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi. Finally, on Saturday afternoon, the season Crescendo in musica with 15 events for children, young people, and families.

The san filippo Neri oratory in Bologna, inaugurated in 1733, was designed to host Congregation meetings inspired the Florentine Saint himself.

The architectural work of art, by Alfonso Torreggiani, houses works by Angelo Gabriello Piò, Francesco Monti, Carlo Nessi and Ludovico Carracci.

Partly demolished by one of the bombings that hit the city of Bologna in 1944, the Oratory was acquired by the Fondazione del Monte in 1997 and reopened in 1999 following reconstruction works entrusted to architect Pier Luigi Cervellati, who was tasked with returning the Oratory to the city as a centre for cultural activities.

Since then, the Oratory has become a “cultural container” and a place that brings together historic and modern delights, the management of which has recently been entrusted to Best Union Company.

The calendar of events offered by Best Union for the 2014/2015 season is inspired by local traditions and is predominantly aimed at children, families and youngsters.

Starting this year HB Comm has made its experience available to the Lamborghini Academy, the staged world tour organized by the car manufacturer based in Sant’Agata Bolognese in the circuits of Baden-Baden, Imola, Modena, Goodwood, Hockenheim, Salzburg and Dubai.
