Hi, My name is Corey and I‘m with ETF Trading Research, today were
reviewing our recently published article…
Best Investing Books Of 2015
When I was growing up my family always had the local news tuned in during lunch and dinner… or dinner and supper as we
called it in Nebraska.
I remember watching the local news on the small TV on the shelf in kitchen.
They were always concerned about the financial markets. Especially with the
price of corn, wheat, and soybeans… that was the life on the farm in Nebraska.
But the thing that always caught my attention was the talk about daily gains in losses on Dow Jones Industrial Average.
As you can see, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (the green line) and corn prices
(the red line) had very different performances in 90’s.
The stock market seemed to soar higher on a daily basis while corn prices were stagnant or falling most of the decade.
As a result, I took an interest in investing back in the early 90’s when I was still in
high school.
At the time, the stock market seemed a complete mystery. After all, what could
be so important that it made it news worthy if it had gone up or down by 1% or even if it was unchanged for the day.
So, I started reading books about this mysterious stock market.
Best Investing Books By Benjamin Graham
Luckily, there are many great books about investing. The one investor that
was super star in Nebraska then and now is Warren Buffett. And he learned from
Benjamin Graham.
The books Security Analysis and The Intelligent Investor by Graham were
some of the first ones I ever read. They are still essential reading for any investor
today.
These ground breaking books do an excellent job of describing the emotional framework and analytical tools investors
need for financial success.
Best Investing Books By Peter Lynch
Another legendary investor I like is Peter Lynch. He was the manager of the
Magellan Fund at Fidelity Investments between 1977 and 1990.
During that time it was the best performing mutual fund in the world. He averaged an eye popping 29.2% annual
return!
His books One Up on Wall Street, Beating the Street, and Learn to Earn are books
that every investor should read. If you’re just starting to learn about investing,
start with his book Learn to Earn.

One thing that will help every investor is continuing to learn. I hope the ideas and
information I share here helps you continue down that path.
A great book that came out this year is A Wealth of Common Sense: Why
Simplicity Trumps Complexity in Any Investment Plan by Ben Carlson.
It’s a good read about the importance of understanding and perspective can help you make better investment decisions.
I draw from all of these great minds when creating My ETF Trading System.
