• The students of first year started the Design course with case studies of various styles in Interior Designing, so as to develop their minds and designing skills as a designer.
• The first project was a “Studio Apartment” to be designed for an individual working in the professional field, with a distinctive hobby. Accordingly it was a challenging project to design the apartment with multipurpose furniture and space usage.
• The second project was a G+1 Bungalow design for a well to do family with each member’s distinctive hobbies and likings.

Interior Design
• The subject of Graphic Design was of utmost importance, with students learning how to draft using the equipments, giving line weights, learning to scale etc.
• Various assignments were also given to the students for model making, typography, learning how to make interior views, enlargement and reduction, etc to make the subject interesting and engaging.
• The methodology was to make the basics strong for further topics to be learned.

• Preliminary Examinations for all the students of ACDS was conducted in the month of Feb’15 to identify the understanding of the student for each subject.
• Also, it helped the student as well as Faculty to understand the overall potential of the student. • External Jury for B.Sc Interior Design was conducted by Rohit Gojia and Hussain Rangwala who are practicing Architects with experience of various Interior Designing projects.
• The Final examinations were conducted in the month of May’15 for all the students of ACDS.

Lecture by Ar. Rachna Salil for LABORATORY DESIGNAn interesting lecture on a very different topic of “Laboratory Design”. The students got an insight into the different yet fascinating field of Lab design. The students got a very detailed information about the projects done by Ar. Rachna Salil and they also learned about the different materials that are used for such projects.

Indian Institute of Interior Designers arranged a seminar : A knowledge sharing programme for the students of interior designing, the ninth in the series, was held at Aditya Educational Campus. “Ar. Rupesh Baid”, a leading Architect presented his work and the students of architecture & interior attended the same. Different styles were show cased & discussed.

Ar. Nilesh Kenkare - A leading Architect & interior designer who has his ideas implemented in his visuals. He show cased his work, but in a different manner: he showed the correlation of how the working drawing & presentation drawings ,transformed into actual work, which amazed all the students. The student understood that accuracy of the drawings is a big key to success and therefore emphasis and attention to detailing is of utmost importance

Lecture by Ar. Neilesh Kenkare on PRESENTATION OF DRAWINGS.
CARPENTRY Workshop by Prof. Amrish MangleThe workshop was held on 10th Oct 2015 for all the students of ACDS. Live demo of various joineries using teak wood was shown to the students by the carpenter and Prof. Amrish Mangle explained the process to the students.After the demo, the students made a few joineries with what they learned and observed during the demo using thermocol, which helped them understand joineries and construction in a better way.

Handling Clay Workshop was conducted by Ms. Snigdha Katkar which was held on 2nd Sept 2015. The students learned to handle the material “clay” by creating pots and lamps of various shapes, some of them worked on the potter’s wheel while some students choose to create their designs without it, with guidance from Ms. Snigdha.

Rendering workshop was conducted Ar. Anshul Sinha. He guided the students with his vast experience in various rendering techniques and sketching. The medium used during the workshop was pencil colors and the students learned to render a plan and a section, understanding light and shade effects.A live demo of sketching interior views using one point and two point perspective and also how to render it smartly indicating various materials in the view inspired all the students .

The students enjoyed the tour to Hyderabad so much that, the concept of teaching out of classroom seemed to work beautifully. This tour was a tremendous learning experience to all the attendees. Teamwork, getting along in all situations was an added incentive of the tour.

The students were staying in the best of the hotels and hence could observe and study the hospitality and interiors minutely. ACDS had also arranged an interaction with a local architect to understand the sensibilities of the locals and design accordingly.

Students of 1st year Degree course (BSC INTERIOR DESIGN YCMOU )made the college proud when they won the first prize in the Prestigious SOCIETY INTERIORS design competition at all India level, in the Product Design Category.The theme for 2015 in Product design category was home office with work space and dining table in one.The team of two Mr. Chandan Prajapati and Mr. Sairaj Yadav" did wonders with the theme and were widely appreciated by the jury members.

• Induction Program(SAMVAAD’15) for all its students at the beginning of the year was organized by the faculty where various programs such as college vision, Health and professional balance, Innovation, Yoga for achievers, Responsible Netism, Handling emotion to name a few.
• Teacher’s day was celebrated on a grand scale by all Aditya group of Institutions. Such events encourage participation and interaction between faculties and students of all the three institutions. Many renowned dignitaries were felicitated.
•Udaan, a Mega event co hosted by the ACA & ACDS, is a week long program which showcases the work done by our students. The inaugural ceremony is well attended by the industry stalwarts and many lectures are held during the week. Students also enjoy the various cultural events organized for them.
• 4th Innovation Summit , an initiative to bring innovation and awareness in the students spectrum was where renowned industry speakers spoke about innovation and its importance.

The 4th Innovation Summit is yet another success in the chapter of Aditya Educational Campus. All the 3 streams AIMSR , ACA , ACDS came together and hosted the 4th innovation summit with variety of speakers addressing the students and explaining the importance and the concept “innovation”. The stalwarts from the industry came and imparted their views and made this summit a huge success presenting the picture of summit. The highlight of the event was Shri Nitin Gadkariji’s video message on innovation and wishing the institute good luck.
