Advent Envirocare
The Advent Integral System is a path-
breaking integration of aeration tank, clarifier
and sludge recycling system into a single,
compact unit without any moving parts. The
System provides BOD removal efficiencies
equal to or better than most configurations of
activated sludge processes (such as SBRs
and MBBRs) and fares better in terms of
lower outlet TSS levels from the clarifier and
h igher operat ing b iomass (MLVSS)
concentrations in the aeration tank. The AIS
incorporates patented concepts of induced
sludge velocity for recycling the biomass,
operated in conjunction with biomass
conditioning system. Global petrochemicals,
refining and steel majors have successfully
adopted this technology, while India has
more than 40 installations with small 100
m3/day individual plant to 16000 m3/day

ADVENT INTEGRAL SYSTEMConsidered a major technological bio-treatment break-through in the last many decades
Clarifier performance in AIS is much better as
compared to conventional secondary clarifiers.
Biomass separation is done by pre-determined
controlled induced sludge movement and
horizontal liquid separation instead of arbitrary
horizontal sludge movement in conventional
clarifier and resultant uncontrolled vertical
separation.
Since the bio-sludge moves with a force in the
integral clarifier, even poor settling biomass and
filaments can be pushed back into the aeration
tank to a reasonable extent. Also, as the integral
clarifier is maintained aerobic, the system
eliminates odour associated with conventional
clarifiers & minimizes chances of denitrification.
The process of the sludge recycling by induced
sludge velocity allows a higher biomass level to be
maintained in aeration tank. Typical design MLSS
level in AIS is in the range of 4000-6000 mg/L as
against 2000-4000 mg/L in conventional plants.
Diffused aeration system, leveled perfectly using
adjustable clamps, provides complete uniformity of
mixing and aeration. There are no dead zones of
anoxic conditions or sludge deposition and there is
not short-circuiting of influent wastewater stream.
The AIS can be configured to have two stage
aerobic or anaerobic – aerobic arrangement in a
single tank and can even be designed to have two
clarifiers if required.
The most advantageous feature of AIS is the concept
of “no moving parts” on which the design is based.
There are no moving parts in contact with corrosive
effluent. The AIS does not require any surface
aerators, scraper mechanisms with gearbox and
recycle pumps to handle solids.
The AIS operates on the principles of activated sludge system in which the biomass population
trained to degrade the particular effluent is retained within the system. The biomass is retained
in the form of suspended solids in the aeration tank and after clarification in the secondary
(integral) clarifier, the active bio-sludge is recycled back into the aeration tank to treat fresh
influent. The system generally operates in a continuous mode with raw wastewater addition
done throughout the day and equivalent flow of treated wastewater going out of the clarifier.

Integrated Steel Mill, JamshedpurAdvent has executed a prestigious project for the Steel Giant to treat highly complex effluent from coke-oven and by-products plant having high SCN , total CN, phenol in addition to high COD/BOD contents for its coke-oven plant. It involves doubling of plant capacity with performance enhancement by modifying units in the treatment plant, retrofitting the conventional aerobic/anoxic tank configurations with an all new Biological Nitrogen removal AIS & several other ancillary units.

The Effluent Management Scheme includes Triple Effect Evaporator for High TDS Organic Stream; Dilute Organic Stream is treated in ETP based on MBR while the Utility Streams are subjected to Primary Treatment followed by UF and RO. The capacity is about 3
3MLD, wherein Utility Stream UF-RO System is designed for 120 m /h.

New Power Plant, KawaiAETPL was selected as turnkey projects contractor for 3x660 MW Thermal Power Project Wastewater Management System against established names in Water Business. This project involves assortment of various streams in the plant to the ETP & sewage is treated in STP based on Bio Treatment consisting of Mikie Bioreactor, a fixed film system.
Paints Major, KhandalaSatisfied with AETPL's engineering skills and workmanship at Rohtak, Advent was awarded fully automated ETP of for its new large scale paints manufacturing facility at Khandala on EPC basis. The ETP can be operated automatically based on PLC and is hooked up with plant's DCS system. Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP's), Textiles, RajasthanADVENT undertook a major up gradation at the existing CETP's on turnkey basis within 15 months and also involved in O&M for 12 months, which catered to textile processing units for removal of oil & suspended solids, additional Equalization Tanks, mechanized Chemical Dosing Systems, replacement of Aeration System & mechanical dewatering using Decanter Centrifuges. There are two units treating 13.6 MLD flow & 9.1 MLD flow respectively.
