Production Process

Manufacturing a custom hair system for an individual is a

very unique yet tedious process. As the system comes to life

it is very closely monitored making sure the smallest details

are exact.

Only highly skilled hair technicians and ventilators can make

the finished product look natural and undetectable while

being comfortable to the user.

Our staff members and technicians are all highly

knowledgeable when it comes to hair and hair systems.

Most importantly our hair technicians have years of hands-

on experience manufacturing hair systems and other related

products. We believe in producing the best products and

have been doing so consistently for over 25 years.

STEP 1

Once an order is received a technician will review the

configurations to make sure that it is producible

STEP 2

After the order has been accepted it will be translated

and sent to the production team

STEP 3

The hair undergoes processing and blending.

Also the curl & wave patterns are set. During this stage the Cap is also created

STEP 4

Now the hair and cap is done, it is sent to the

ventilator

STEP 5

After the hair has been ventilated on to the cap, the

unit will be washed and styled

STEP 6

The final stages consists of our QC departments review and approval then it is packaged

and shipped

STRAIGHT Rod Size: Straight Open Size: Straight

Absolutely straight as a pencil. This is not a logical choice for 99% of all men's hair styles because it will stick straight out if it is not long enough to create the weight to make it lay natural.

SLIGHT MOVEMENT Rod Size: 36mm Open Size: 76mm

1-1/2" rod size will open to approximately a 3" inch wave. This very light blend will definitely not work well for a brush back style. When it is cur short, it will appear very straight.

LIGHT MOVEMENT Rod Size: 25mm Open Size: 51mm

1” rod size will open to a 2” wave, light movement or body will remain. When cut 2-1/2” shorter it will appear to be almost straight, any wave curl less then this (F wave) will not have body.

TIGHT WAVE Rod Size: 22mm Open Size: 44mm

¾” rod size will open to approximately 1-1/2"wave. This will be a light wave and is the most common wave used for the majority of styles. When this is cut 2” or shorter there will only be light movement remaining.

MEDIUM CURL Rod Size: 13mm Open Size: 25mm

½” rod size will open to approximately 1” curl. If this is cut shorter than 2”most of the curl is cut out. This can also be wave or curl depending on the direction it dries.

TIGHT CURL Rod Size: 10mm Open Size: 19mm

3/8” rod size is curly & will open to ¾” curl, about the size of your thumb. This can be wave or curl depending on the way it dries.

MEDIUM AFRO Rod Size: 5mm Open Size: 7mm

3/16" inch rod size is a slightly looser afro kink-curl. This curl is also true to rod size.

TIGHT AFRO Rod Size: 4mm Open Size: 4mm

1/8" inch rod size is a tight afro with a very small kink or curl. This curl is true to rod size.

Curl & Wave Pattern It is important to select the correct curl/wave to guarantee a perfect and seamless blend with your existing hair. At Best Hair, we have a wide selection of different curls & waves to suit your style. Please note that the hair incorporated into a Custom system is high quality human cuticle hair and it will behave just like natural hair. This will allow you to style out the curl to some extent, or reactivate the curl with water or a styling product.

Hair Density Information

Choosing the correct density is one of the most essential factors in ensuring your hair system looks unbelievably natural. It is pointless investing in a hair system that is obvious and detectable as a result of choosing the wrong density and the simple truth is that an unnatural looking hair system can be noticed from far away. One of the main reasons why most other hair systems are so easily detectable is a result of too high density. We strongly recommend that when choosing your density you opt for a transitional density that replicates nature. This means selecting a density coverage which has a subtle graduation to it just like real growing hair. Some might believe that choosing a heavy density everywhere will mean that their hair system lasts longer. This is not the case as the quality of workmanship and after-care determine the life span of a hair system and if you opted for this choice all you would end up with is an unnatural looking hair system that is inferior and detectable. At Best hair we offer different densities to suit every need. This gives you the flexibility to reduce or increase the density in different parts of your hair systems, thus enabling you to create a natural transitional density that is similar to natural growing hair. This gives your hair a more natural appearance that is authentic to nature. This is where we are different. All of our system bases create a flawless illusion of hair appearing to grow directly out of your scalp. Even under the closest inspection, all you see is hair and scalp! We have certainly noticed a recent trend towards lighter densities and our hair systems give you the flexibility to reduce the density and expose some scalp giving your hair a much more natural appearance.

Base Sizes PARTIAL/TOP PIECE Areas up to 10" x 8" (<80 in2) Traditional male pattern baldness and cover s the hair loss area on the top of the head from the front hairline to the crown.

Full Lace Base Designs are made with a Swiss Lace, super fine Swiss lace, German lace or welded lace. The advantage with this type of base design is that it's very light in weight making it very comfortable. When you place the unit against your scalp this delicate lace becomes completely invisible and creates an undetectable

natural appearance. The only disadvantage of this type of base design is that its not as durable as mono bases. The full lace bases do need well maintenance and it would be a challenge for the new wearers

Description Poly + silicone base. The hair can be injected, looped or knotted. The few layers of silicone makes the base stronger and the lifespan is 1-2 years. Drawbacks? Limited hair style and no natural hairline. Brush forward style is a good choice. The tough base can hold density from medium to medium heavy.

Description The most durable base in the world! Layers of silicone and multiple poly coatings. Hair is injected into the silicone by keeping "root-to-tip," then sealed with multiple poly coatings. Advantage: the best top view since there is no loop, no knots ,have a look of hair coming out of your own scalp. Disadvantage: Your front hairline won’t look as natural as a lace hair system and it's not that comfortable to wear. Since this base works best with a medium light to heavy hair density, a forward hairstyle might help with the front appearance.
