On a trip to the McLaren Vale earlier this year I paid a visit to Yangarra Estate and was blown away by the wines of this producer. The team lead by winemaker Peter Fraser has been quietly going about revitalis-

ing very old vineyards from the 40’s and converting to Biodynamic and organic practices. In doing so they have taken McLaren Vale to new heights in finesse, fruit purity and structure. An estate doing things a little differently from the pack and more importantly, doing things extremely well. It’s all about the vineyard and the varieties that suit their sub-region nestled into the eastern end of McLaren Vale on the sloping Adelaide Hills.
