A Bit About Bess

Bess Wyrick’s firm, Celadon & Celery specializes in the art of design and event

concepts, with attention to quality and detail: combining shapes, materials,

textures and innovative aesthetics to create memorable occasions.

They offer planning, as well as styling and design: styling is a vehicle to

showcase beauty, in hotels, resorts, or private homes–each has their own

personality, and the first step is pinpointing the unique intricacies of each

location.

The production of putting together events of every scale excites them with all

the specifics that go into coordinating the vendors, the venues, the design

aesthetics and the details, whether it is local or abroad.

When styling photo shoots or locations, the architectural details provide

inspiration; we combine items native to the property with props from our

creative craft dealers to complement your personalities and any venue.

Their vision is to recreate the space with truly authentic pieces, pushing beyond

flowers, fabrics and decor to construct elaborate presentations that are

reflective and representative of the time, occasion and season.

Design and Styling

Design affects all that we experience; with Bess’ inspired and organic

styling’s the layers of life begin to unfold.

Bess loves to utilize simple, organic and visually beautiful elements in

her designs. Her lifestyle embraces her design philosophy and she

believes in taking time each day to make something pretty.

Creating settings and “Vignetting" has been a lifelong process of

exploration within her career. Styling started at an early age for Bess,

as a child she would rearrange her room, dragging porcelain vases

into the hallway to highlight the entrance. Inside she would create to

a stylized setting for her fantasy afternoon luncheon where she would

entertain her family.

Today Bess’s natural talents for beautifully manipulating the three

dimensional world is evident. Organic elements; floral , fauna, and

fabric are juxtaposed with the human and industrial to create magical

settings and beautiful images.

Bess explores the moment of inception where inspiration takes seed

and designs are born. Reaching beyond the surface she uncovers the

depth of passion, inspired creation, global platforms, humor,

sexuality, relationships and social interaction.

Has created a blog that captures your attention in seconds.

That's how it was for me when I saw her feature on BBC for her

cinemagraphs with husband Kevin Burg. I was mesmerized in

seconds and immediately found myself creating the floral crown

concept for her beauty and editorial shoots.

It was love from day one with both of us being Texas girls

and playing dress up with elegant gowns and lush, gorgeous

blooms. In a short few months we have collaborated on 3 shoots

which produced a series of 4 floral crown that were featured on

her blog and a shoot with PMT model Edyh Hughes in the Reem

Acra campaign for fall.

Working with Jamie is a dream. our collaborations have created

ethereal images that have inspired my obsession for floral crowns.

Belladonna Exhibit-

Caitlin Mitchell is a high fashion and

lingered photographer with a knack for

capturing sensual, elegant and fine art

portraits. We met a year ago at a mutual

friends birthday party and instantly had

creative chemistry. That night this

concept for the shoot came alive and 6

months later we shot vicotiea secret

Angela Bellotte on a cold day in January

in the studio. I made floral crowns,

draped garlands of amyrlis, and styled

the collection Lethal Belladonna.

May 21st we celebrated the collection of

Belladonna that was hosted at my friends

home. The collection was well received

and was picked up by Gosian Galleries

and also sold at private collection from

buyers at Paddle8.
