What are the Masterclasses?
§ 15 – 19years old students spend a whole day (Class) at a HEP institute§ they experience science from scientists (Master)§ Name trace back from Masterclasses in art§ Organized by IPPOG (International Particle Physics Outreach Group –
former EPPOG)
Aims (See [1]):
§ Stimulate interest in science and particle physics§ Give brief description of scientiJic research in physics§ Provide students with real data of modern particle physics experiments§ Introduce the fundamental building blocks of matter and their interactions
