No. 2LAMBETH PALACEFor nearly 800 years, Lambeth Palace, on the banks of the river Thames, has been home to the Archbishop of Canterbury. The beautiful grounds host a series of fetes and open days whilst guided tours can be booked in order to explore the rooms and chapels of this historic working palace and home.

No. 1THE KIA OVALThe Kia Oval has been the home ground of the Surrey County cricket club since 1845. It was the first ground in England to host international test cricket and in recent years has seen significant redevelopment and improved capacity.

No. 3HOUSES OF PARLIAMENTThe Palace of Westminster, more commonly known as the Houses of Parliament, has resided in the centre of London since the 11th Century. Formerly a royal residence it has, over the centuries, become a centre of political life.

No. 4IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUMFounded during the First World War, the Imperial War Museum aims to tell the stories of people from around the world through a programme of exhibitions, events and activities. Surrounded by a beautiful park with the Tibetan peace garden this is place with plenty to see inside and out.

No. 5VAUXHALL PLEASURE GARDENSBack in the 18th Century, the expansive Vauxhall Gardens were used as one of the leading venues for public entertainment. After being absorbed into the metropolis of the city, part of the site was re-opened as a public park and renamed Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.

No. 6THE OVAL GASHOLDERSThe Oval Gasholders were a magnificent feat of Victorian engineering with the grandest Gasholder being the largest of its kind in the world at the time of construction in 1877. The Oval Gasholders are considered to be part of the famous cricket ground’s backdrop. We are proud that the restoration of the largest Gasholder is part of Oval Village.

No. 8THE LONDON EYEThe London Eye is an observation wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames. It is Europe’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel and is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom with over 3.75 million visitors annually.

No. 7KENNINGTON PARKKennington Park lies between Kennington Park Road and St. Agnes Place. It was opened in 1854 on the site of what had been Kennington Common, where the political reformists gathered for their biggest “monster rally” on 10 April 1848. Today, the park offers an array of leisure facilities including open grassland and a flower garden.

No. 12OVAL STATIONLocated in zone 2 and only a 10 minutes’ walk away, Oval Station sits between Stockwell and Kennington on the Northern Line. It opened on the 18th of December in 1890 and is named after the Oval Cricket Ground which is one minute walk away after you exit the tube.
