BC LOOKS FOR A TOP SEED IN THE PLAYOFFS

Following their dramatic come-from-behind overtime victory last weekend at Crusader Stadium against SJR, Bergen Catholic (5-2) takes to the road looking for a victory that would assure themselves of home field advantage throughout the Non-Public Group 4 state playoffs. To do that, BC must defeat their archrivals, the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (4-3) in the 66th all-time meeting between both schools in the longest running rivalry in BC history. A win for the Crusaders would mean that they would not have to leave the cozy confines of Crusader Stadium for the upcoming state playoffs, and would also assure them of a place in history as the first-ever school to go undefeated in the Big North United Division, the top-rated league in America.

BC VS. DBP SERIES HISTORY: (DBP leads series 35-28-2; .538) (17-11-1 in Ramsey) -Bergen Catholic is looking to win consecutive regular season games against Don Bosco Prep for the first time since 1990 & 1991. From 1992-1998 the schools did not meet in the regular season, and the two schools resumed their annual regular season rivalry in 1999. -BC has not won a regular season road game at Granatell Stadium since 1990 when they won (14-7).

GET TO KNOW: DON BOSCO PREP -The Ironmen are still looking for their first win in the Big North United Division in the 2015 season, after beginning the year with losses against SJR and PC. Bosco is (1-5) in their last 6 league games dating back to last season. -Don Bosco Prep is coming off a (30-16) loss against Bishop Gorman, a team ranked #1 in the nation in some national high school football polls. -This meeting will mark the first time that Bosco has hosted BC since their 2012 semifinal match up that the Crusaders won (28-14). DBP has not lost back-to-back regular season games vs. BC since 1991 & 1999.
