May 2016 Beloved in the Lord, He (Jesus) told them: “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:46-47 We have experienced this truth anew during Easter in our family and church. The Lord is risen. He lives, He is with us and helps us to walk victoriously even under difficult circumstances. Several months have passed and we would like to report to you recent events so that you and your church can pray for us more specifically. Winter has passed and temperatures are climbing into summer hights. Still we think back to winter and remember how we have brought much joy to children. BEG, The union of evangelical churches in Austria has for the 4th (and last time) brought several thousand christmas boxes for children and adults. We were able to distribute these boxes to many children with the help of BEG Team and our coworkers. One can hardly imagine the joy that these gifts brought to these very poor people. At the beginning of January we visited the town of Kikinda. The local children and the BEG Team prepared a beautiful Christmas program in the cultural center. The Gospel was presented through songs, a short dreama and the proclamation of the Word. It is up to Igor, Tamara and other local believers to continue working with these people . Igor and Tamara (picture) are very diligent and active. They lead a homegroup, ladies meeting, children’s meeting and a small group of believers in their living room. Lately has Igor’s unbelieving father caused some difficulties that lead to tension in family relations and affect the testimony of the small homechurch. Igor, his wife and two children would like to leave the parental house and live on their own, but they lack the funds either to build or rent something. We ask you to pray for this family that a solution would come so they can continue in this important ministry .

WehaveexperiencedthistruthanewduringEasterinourfamilyandchurch.TheLordisrisen.Helives,Heiswithusandhelpsustowalkvictoriouslyevenunderdifficultcircumstances.

Severalmonthshavepassedandwewouldliketoreporttoyourecenteventssothatyouandyourchurchcanprayforusmorespecifically.Winterhaspassedandtemperaturesareclimbingintosummerhights.Stillwethinkbacktowinterandrememberhowwehavebroughtmuchjoytochildren.BEG,TheunionofevangelicalchurchesinAustriahasforthe4th(andlasttime)broughtseveralthousandchristmasboxesforchildrenandadults.WewereabletodistributetheseboxestomanychildrenwiththehelpofBEGTeamandourcoworkers.Onecanhardlyimaginethejoythatthesegiftsbroughttotheseverypoorpeople.

IgorandTamara(picture)areverydiligentandactive.Theyleadahomegroup,ladiesmeeting,children’smeetingandasmallgroupofbelieversintheirlivingroom.LatelyhasIgor’sunbelievingfathercausedsomedifficultiesthatleadtotensioninfamilyrelationsandaffectthetestimonyofthesmallhomechurch.Igor,hiswifeandtwochildrenwouldliketoleavetheparentalhouseandliveontheirown,buttheylackthefundseithertobuildorrentsomething.Weaskyoutoprayforthisfamilythatasolutionwouldcomesotheycancontinueinthisimportantministry.

InthemiddleofMarchIdrovewithmyson-in-lawJaroslavtothesouthofSerbia.WithavanpackedtothetopwithChristmasgiftsandboxesfullofusedclothingwearrivedaththefamilyofSasha,Lydiaandtheirfivechildren.Afterweunloadedthevan,hadsomegoodSerbianBeansoupwetoldthestoryofZacheusfirsttothechildrenandthentheadults.Everybodywascarefullylistening.God’sworkisprogresingeveninthispoorareaofSerbia.SashaandMarko,twobrothersintheLord(almostlikePaulandTimothy),latervisitedmanyfamilieswiththeBoxes,NewTestamentsandchildren’sliterature.

InthisfirstquarterwehavereceivedmanydonationsofLiterature.FirstaLiteratureministryfromBratislavahasbroughtushundredsofSlovakchristianBooksandbooklets.Nowwehavetheopportunitytoofferthisliteraturetoourfellowcitizensatanyandeveryopportunity.

InmarchwereceivedfromCAM(ChristianAidMinistries,USA)aneweditionof101FavoriteBiblestoriesintheSerbianlanguage.Theshipmentcontained23000copiesfreeofchargetousandforthesolepurposeofsupplyingevangelistsandchurchesforfurtherdistribution.WearethankfultotheLordforsuchagenerousgift.

Acoupleofweeksago,wehadourthirdSeminarwithRomafamilies.ThistimewemetinBelgradewherethecouplefromKikindaandbrethrenfromSouthSerbiacametofellowshipandstudy.Wefinishedthesecondchapterin2ndTimothywherewelookedat2pictures,theChristianasavessel(2.20)andasaservant(2.24).We
