A childhood filled with laughterThe Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix brings hope and opportunity to nearly 23,000 children. Though the neighborhood outside may be dark, the gyms and art rooms and – shhh – even libraries are filled with cheerful laughter and bright futures.

Dear Friends,Thank you for your kindness, your support and your unwavering belief in all of the Valley’s children.

Because of your support in 2013, we’ve saved even more lives, dreamed bigger dreams, filled more hungry bellies and inspired more laughter and smiles. Nearly 23,000 children found safety from the gangs and violence that plague their neighborhoods, and made lifelong friendships with positive role models and new friends who will help them succeed in life.

Our families and communities are stronger because of you, but our work isn’t done yet. There are still so many extraordinary children in desperate need of safety, food and opportunities for a better life. From computer classes to cooking classes, sports leagues to gang prevention, Club members learn to take responsibility for making healthy choices. Most of our members say the Club saved their life.

Poor oral health is a leading cause of missed school days and significantly lower grades. Our full-service dental clinic performed over 8,500 procedures for low-income children last year.

Ending Childhood HungerNearly all of our families are low income, and one in three Arizona children struggles with food insecurity. Every day, our kids can count on a nutritious snack and meal to power them through all their activities. You helped us serve more than 273,000 healthy meals last year.
