General Introduction

BPBC is a Beijing municipal governmental consulting agency and the pivot of the industry in Beijing among governmental agencies, research institutions, well-known universities, biomedical enterprises and academic organizations.

Our organization was founded in 1996 and has currently 38 employees. Since that, we have successful stimulated innovation and promoted industrial development for the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry in Beijing as well as their related administrations and organizations by providing a broad range of services to them.

We are in charge of the administration for all biopharmaceutical projects in the Beijing Scientific Program, including those of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology. After managing over 1000 projects to our satisfied clients since 2000, BPBC has formed a comprehensive procedure.

Procedure:

Since 2000 BPBC has assisted Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and managed more than 1000 projects. In 2006 we were involved

in 324 on-going projects with the total amount of 12.5 million USD.

Our successful partnerships in the last years

• Novo Nordisk established an R&D Center in ZhongGuanCun Life Science Park

• Syngenta established an R&D Center in Changping Science Park

• CCBR (Center for Clinical and Basic Research A/S) established their infrastructure in Beijing.

• Yangtze River Pharmacy Group established Beijing HaiYan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

• Jiang Zhong Pharmaceutical Group and the Academy of Military Medical Sciences co-established a National Center for Proteome Research

• National Institute of the Control for Pharmaceutical and Biologic Products (NICPBP) established their facility in Capital Bioengineering and Pharmaceutical Industrial Base

NICPBP is a national research institute and drug inspection organization for SFDA.

• BioDuro and NICPBP signed a contract on preclinical research

BioDuro is a US chemical company settled in Beijing for over 2 years and formed a relationship with BPBC since its starts. NICPBP is mainly doing preclinical studies, which we found would be an interesting partner for BioDuro. After arranging several contacts and meetings, they finally signed a contract on preclinical researches last July, and held the ceremony in our center.

• Collaboration with the Denmark Tech Transfer Office (TTO) (www.tto.dk）

TTO is a Danish company focusing on technology transfer in the healthcare area. After a few meetings TTO signed a collaborative memo with us but we are also focusing to build a long-term collaboration together. BPBC will recommend a fixed number of projects to TTO every month and TTO will pay a fixed fee for the service.
