apprenticeship programme

We have a variety of engineering apprenticeships available in various locations, in the following areas:

Apprentice Electrical/Mechanical Installation Engineer: You will learn electrical engineering or mechanical engineering skills suitable for installing, maintaining and repairing state-of-the-art fi re and security, prevention and suppression systems.

Industrial Refrigeration: You will learn how to carry out industrial refrigeration service and maintenance, providing planned, reactive and quoted work for the Food & Beverage markets.

Chiller: You will learn how to carry out repairs and preventative maintenance of HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), as well as chiller systems and assets.

The qualifi cation and classes for the apprenticeship programme are run by SOLAS, with classes taking place in various locations throughout Ireland. As part of the programme, you will achieve one of the following qualifi cations:

• Fire & Security – Level 6 Advanced Certifi cate Craft - Electronic Security Systems Qualifi cation

• HVAC / Chillers - Level 6 Advanced Certifi cate Craft – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

• Industrial Refrigeration - Level 6 Advanced Certifi cate Craft – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

What We Look For• Minimum of Leaving Certifi cate Pass, with a minimum grade C in

Maths and Science subjects• Enthusiasm to learn and an interest in problem solving• Self-motivated• Good IT skills• Excellent communication skills• Ability to work both independently and as a team player• Safety conscious• Although no engineering experience is required, candidates must

show an interest in engineering.

The Hiring Process• Apply online with your CV• Online aptitude test, on your Maths and English skills• Apprentice assessment centre day, which will consist of:

• A written Maths and English test• A group assessment• A face-to-face interview

During the day, you will receive:• An overview of our company & culture• A full understanding of our apprenticeship programme• Details about your role while on the programme and your

career prospects on completion of the programme and beyond.

Salary GuideYou will receive a competitive salary during your apprenticeship, which is reviewed every six months, based on your performance.

Practical training, with support and guidance from your line manager and your team.
