Bachelor study program of Economics and Finance

I fee-based 3-year English degree program

I strong quantitative skills and strong finance skills

I first year students attend few special BEF courses; majority ofsecond and third year courses are available also for students ofCzech bachelor program

I some courses taught by professionals from the central bank,commercial banks and by business analysts

I 180 ECTS credits, state exam and defence of thesis to graduate

I 88 credits from 16 mandatory courses; up to 27 credits fromoptional courses (electives outside IES), remaining credits should becollected from electives - nearly 30 elective courses available

I Online application, no application fee, no entrance examination.I Application must include:

I Completed online application form (on the faculty website)I Copies of all relevant diplomas and transcriptsI Short academic CV including relevant qualifications and experienceI One of the following documents assessing math abilities

I predicted or final IB score Group 5 - Mathematics - accepted onlywith total score 32+

I predicted A levels including Mathematics (required knowledge: Purecore 1-4, Further Pure 1-2)

After sending the application

I Evaluation takes place twice:I applications received before February 28 in March, results will be

sent to applicants by the end of MarchI the remaining applications in the beginning of May, results will be

sent to applicants by the end of May

I Successful applicants should not wait with the application forstudent visa, if needed

I Arrive for the student registration in mid September.

I Last (full) week of September will be devoted to Orientation week,including tours around the faculty buildings, academic orientationand registration to subjects, pub crawls, city rallies and weekend tripoutside Prague with team building activities

I In case you are not selected for the BEF program, you may apply forthe 1-year nondegree Short Study Visit Programme and re-applynext year – your obtained credits can be transferred




Fees, Scholarships and BEF meetings

I FeesI Currently the fee is set to 3,000 e per semesterI Some extra payments may be required during the studies (e.g.

registration to Aplia etc.)

I ScholarshipsI Based on student’s average grades for the previous academic year, up

to 20% of students get a reduction of the feeI Fee reductions for siblings in the programI Government scholarships and International Visegrad Fund
