Chapter 1 - Purpose Q: Why are you doing this?

A: Im called to do this I must grow as a singer/songwriter and a man of faith. There are some things you just cant get sitting in your room or hometown. I believe the Spirit of God compels me like in scripture The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me, to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lords favor. ( Luke 4:18)

The purpose of the BeCome Tour is to direct hearts and minds to the great purpose of L.I.F.E ( Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence) as it is in heaven! We are made in Gods image, therefore we are born to win. We were made to live in harmony with God, ourselves, and others. So instead of coveting, comparing, and condemning we are to celebrate, create, and cultivate a world that brings glory to God, and benefits all mankind.

Q: How does this benefit society?

A: My music brings love, joy, and hope to the universe. Its crazy how many people Ive connected with by just performing on the riverwalk downtown Tampa. Plato said, Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. He also said Musical innovation is full of danger to the State, for when modes of music change, the fundamental laws of the State always change with them. Scottish politician Andrew Fletcher said, Let me make the songs of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws. I realize the impact songs have on society, and thats why Im dedicated to keep my songs to a very positive, uplifting nature. I believe the lyrical content and energy of my songs can help make a more caring conscience society.

Vision June 1st - December 31st, I travel all 50 states to perform songs from Be True and produce inspirational stories, and songs on video. With fans, and other musicians I film each performance in front of major US landmark, which then becomes a music video collage at the end of the journey in Hawaii. I will film and edit short stories about the history, people , and qualities that make that place unique; Then write a hook derived from the motto of that place - I will invite collaborators of that state to write verses. Videos and podcast of the adventure are uploaded every three days, and will be mailed to those on the Malan list at malanjones.com/subscribe . Goals 150k music downloads on Band-camp , 150 subscribers on YouTube , 50k views a video. 150k followers on Instagram, and 150k likes on face-book. At least one song with radio circulation.



Chapter 2 - Theme We are who we are for a great purpose, and what we are is sacred. So do not degrade your soul by trying to fit a manmade mould. Use your voice, use your gift because we are living stones, not bricks. - Be True

Dont Hide Your Talent You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. - Matthew 5:14 Growing is a Process Celebrate Covenant , Kill Coveting , Appreciate Yourself, Stop complaining and comparing. Appreciate Others The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you! - 1 Corinthians 12:21. We all have different skin tones, features, and talents, use your talents for the glory of God, and the benefit of all mankind. Use Your Whole Brain, Birds need a left wing and right wing to fly, we need to use both sides of are brains to fly high. Be analytical, artistic, play music, read books , grow your corpus collosum. Keep the Golden Rule Treat other the way you want to be treated, show empathy, and sympathy. Keep things simple, Keep Gods commandments, and they will keep you: Jesus replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.[b] 40The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. Love haters . Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. A Reflection of Love The love God has for us is compared to the love a husband has for his wife. this music expresses the way I feel, and plan to be when I get married. Many problems today would be solved if husband truly loved their wives, the way Christ loves the church . One of the greatest things my dad did for me , is that he gave me a stable home by consistently loving my mother and showing it through handwork, sacrifice, and patience. I thank God for men in women like my dad and mom who showed me how to love. May this type of love continue to inspire generations to come.

Chapter 6 - Strategies Busking Via busking get attention, emails , and tips. Have a system where passerbys can write their email , and drop it in the tip box. Get pictures with fans, and shoot your whole session. At the end of the day, upload photos, enter the amount you made, and input emails to your subscription list.

Getting venues Reach out to those who like your post the most ( on instagram, facebook, and YouTube) and empower them with a media package to spread to their friends, and employ them to come to your busking session. Make a connection with them by phone, and print.

Ex. Hey ____ thanks for liking my post, Im headed to you city next, do you think you can gather some friends and meet me at______I need some people in my video, and they can have free music.

Sponsorship strategy Used linkedIN to contact marketing directors of Big companies like : Cannon, Guitar center, etc , and place their logo and message in you tour. Show them how they can get exposure through you.

Store owners Contact store owner of venues, and coffee show, and see if they would like an 1hr worth of music at their shop.

Producing music on the go Get the state motto, use the songwriting templates, and beat making templates. Create the hook, and use the 50 state song tour graphic to capture songwriters, and collaborators.

Chapter 12 - About Malan Q: Who is Malan Jones? A: Im a singer/songwriter, and music teacher. I just released Be True (February 14th, 2016) which deals with loving God, loving yourself, and loving others. For the past year and a half Ive taught children ages 7 to 13 music production and music theory, and Ive released 4 other albums under mic sol-o, and 1 under Microphone Jones.

Q: Who is your audience? A: My audience is anyone who will listen. Im really gauging who that is, but normally it is family minded people. Men and women who care about L.I.F.E : Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence. They come in different ages, and different states

Q: How did you get the name Malan? A: My Middle name is Alan so I placed the M and the Alan together which made Malan and means Little Warrior. Which is pretty fitting since Im around 5 6 , 145lb and have a 30 inch waist line. But I fight with my songwriting, and music as the one quote said Ive penned 5 albums under the name microphone jones, and mic sol-o.

Q: Who are your musical influences A: Bob Marley, Ed Sheeran, Bill withers, and singer/songwriters

Q: How old are you, and are you single? A: Im 29, currently single, and looking for the right women to share a lifetime and a vision with.

Q: What drives you? A: Love, love is the motivation of everything I do. I want to love God, myself, and others in a way that sings harmony. Life can be beautiful if we three God, man, and woman work in harmony.

Q: Whats your educational background A: I was homeschooled pretty much up to college, did community college for 2 years, got an associates in multimedia technology, then I went to the University of Tampa in Florida.

Q: How did you learn to play guitar? A: First I learned piano , then it was guitar. I start playing piano at 6. I picked up the guitar around 14 and then put it down - I felt it was too hard . I played piano bass at the base chapel, my dad was a military chaplain, and when there was no pianist people pointed at me. I did take formal lesson in piano, but for guitar I picked up the beginning of last year.
