Become a Trainer with the Safe Injection Connection Since 2001, more than 150,000 patients in the United States have been notified of potential exposure to hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), and HIV due to lapses in basic infection control practices. The North Carolina Division of Public Health (NC DPH) has partnered with the CDC and the One & Only Campaign to educate healthcare providers about safe injection practices. The NC DPH is inviting interested healthcare professionals to join a network of trainers to help spread the messages of the campaign to other professionals in a variety of healthcare settings. Trainers are asked to present a minimum of two times throughout the year. Training materials will be provided for use during these presentations. The September 25 th training will include such topics as incidents and outbreaks , impacts and best practices. Nursing contact hours (3.5) will be provided. Space is limited!
