BEING A FUNKYKIDZ MESSY PLAY INSTRUCTOR HAS CHANGED MY LIFE IN SO MANY WAYS.
I LOVE KIDS AND HAVE BEEN IN CHILDCARE FOR OVER 15 YEARS NOW.

AS IT TURNS OUT IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS MADE. KIDS ARE ALLOWED TO MESS WITHOUT BEING TOLD NO, BECAUSE LETS FACE IT A MESS IS JUST NOT FUN FOR A PARENT, BUT THAT’S WHY ITS SO GREAT TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT WHERE KIDS CAN BE AND DO WHAT THEY LOVE MOST,BEING MESSY.
WHEN I GO TO MY SCHOOLS WHERE I DO MESSY PLAY, THE KIDS FACES LIGHT UP, I MAKES MY DAY. WHEN I HAVE MESSY PLAY CLASSES AT HOME THE KIDS DON’T WANT TO LEAVE WHICH MAKES IT EVEN MORE ENJOYABLE.

8 REASONS WHY KIDS SHOULD BE IN THE KITCHEN
1. Learning to cook is an essential life skill.
2. Learning to cook empowers kids to be more independent.
3. Cooking is an outlet for creativity.
4. Cooking encourages healthy eating. They are more likely to eat what they’ve had a
hand in preparing.
5. Cooking introduces kids to a variety of fresh foods and interesting ways of preparing
and cooking those ingredients.
6. Cooking teaches language skills (cooking vocab like sauté and simmer), maths
(measuring, weighing, fractions), and science (by mixing bicarb and acid and heat, the
cake rises).
7. Kids learn how to read and follow step by step instructions.
8. It’s fun.

Try out this delicious Chocolate Mousse Cake as a cheat
treat:
Chocolate Mousse Cake
Ingredients
1 Litre full cream Milk
100 ml heavy cream
50g cocoa powder
50g corn flour
150 g sugar
Whisk the above ingredients together, strain. Pour into a
pot and heat until mixture thickens, melt 300g dark
chocolate into the heated mixture. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
Coat it with more cocoa powder. Slice. Serve.

Well done to all my instructors for awesome classes this month. I am very proud
