About the performer …

Laura Elizabeth Crout is an 11th grade musician and athlete. She has been playing piano since eight years old and has picked up three other instruments within those years. As is shown, she has taken a liking to the composer Melody Bober, and has continuously played Bober’s songs throughout her piano progress. She enjoys playing pieces written in the minor key with a slight victorious and melancholy feel.

On top of musicianship and athleticism, Laura has shown an extreme liking to math and excelling in school, usually achieving a 3.8 or greater all through her school career which she acquaints to her knowledge of music and familiarity with rigorous practicing and focus.

Currently, Laura has the knowledge of playing four instruments: bassoon, bass clarinet and clarinet, and piano. Laura is a rugby player with past experience in basketball, volleyball, track and field, and boxing. She is also scoring in the top 2% for pre-calculus and has the goal of becoming a student at the University of

California, Berkeley, after graduating from El Camino High School, Sacramento, California.
