WHY HAVE WE CHOSEN THIS CONCEPT?

The Basque

automotive

components sector is

one of the most

competitive and

innovative. Its

management levels

are comparable to the

most advanced in the world, with a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.

It is made up of 300 companies invoicing over 10 billion euros and employing over

75,000 people, 35,000 of which in the Basque Country. The specific weight of Daimler

Vitoria must be added to this, producing around 100 thousand vehicles a year and

with 3,000 employees.

The new AIC-Automotive Intelligence Centre can be highlighted as a unique value

generation center that enables the entire sector to cooperate in areas such as

knowledge, training, technology or industrial development.

Spain is the 2nd largest automaker in Europe and 11th at world level.

- 1st European manufacturer of commercial vehicles.

- The first automotive brands are established in Spain.

- 17 Manufacturing Plants installed in the Spanish territory.

- 1,000 manufacturers of components and equipment integrated supply chain

industry.

- 90% of the vehicles made in Spain are exported to 130 countries.

From 3-4 million vehicles are transported each year by the Spanish Territory.
