Development of the world economy has been characterized by increasing interdependency. among nations i n the midst of increasing uncertainty. In the mean time other structural changes have been emerging, namely the dichotomised development of the monetary and the real sectors of the economy, and the emergence of the "global finance"phenomenon. , ^ : - These developments have some impacts on the a n a l i t y c a l as w e l l as predictive powers o f relevant theories. People question the ability of some macroeconomic theories i n providing some guidance to the society resolving different problems to be faced. A b s t r a c t
