BEAUTIFUL NOISE / HENRY DAVIS Please join the artist for the private view of Beautiful Noise 6:30- 8:30 pm 16 November 2017 THE OLD DAIRY 71 Powerscroft Rd, Clapton, E5 0PT www.kennedyandkennedy.co.uk Henry Davis explores ideas around the construction of identity and memory as he captures his childhood home with haunting effect in the solo exhibition Beautiful Noise. The artist presents eight portrait photographs by Alan Powdrill and four short films, which will be shown in a purpose built 5 x 5 metre cube, offering the audience a completely immersive audio-visual experience. Filmed in the artist’s family home in collaboration with Ascension Films, who specialize in aerial cinematography, the audience are invited to confront their own feelings towards the domestic settings and the roles they inhabit- both voluntarily and involuntarily. Henry Davis worked as a set designer for film before becoming a visual and performance artist - Beautiful Noise employs all these disciplines and is his first solo exhibition in London.
