John Scurr Science Week Newsletter 2019 BE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE
John Scurr had another exciting Science Week at the end of the Spring Term. The theme was Animal Antics and children from across the school worked together in mixed year group workshops on activities such as making bird feeders, camouflage, 3D fishing, investigating the fastest animals and bird watching.
Parents were invited in to work on an activities with their child's class, ranging from dissecting owl pellets to uncover skeletons, to taking part in a curriculum science lesson. Lots of fun and learning took place.
The highlight of the week for many children was the 'Farm Day'. Sheep, geese, ducks, chickens, a pony and a goat spent the day in the play ground being fed and petted by the children.
Enjoy the pictures and we look forward to another exciting and stimulating Science Week next year.
