VIRGIL GRISSOM HIGH SCHOOL
Named after the astronaut Virgil 'Gus' Grissom,the second American to fly in space.
Offers Latin and has an extensive sportsprogram, including baseball, basketball,
football, cheerleading, golf, soccer,swimming, tennis and wrestling.
It's home to 1,900 students and cateredfor by 106 full-time teachers, with
reading and math scores of 96% and97% respectively.
These aren't the only high schools in Huntsville,but they are ranked as some of the very best
