    Human Resource Management is the

    strategic and coherent approach to themanagement of an organization's most

    valued assets i.e. the people working for

    them who individually and collectively

    contribute to the achievement of the

    objectives of the business.

    Management of Human Resources is an

    integral part of the success of a business

    organization.

    The Bombay Cambridge Gurukul consists

    of five co-educational schools, the first

    established in 1988.

    These schools are located in the suburbs

    of northern Mumbai, between Andheri and

    Borivali.

    The students go through 12 years of

    schooling culminating in the board exam for

    Std. X conducted by the Maharashtra State

    Board of Education (S.S.C.).

    i] Need of Human Resource Department :

    1. Causes of poor quality and quality failure in

    education are usually because of faulty

    behaviors and attitudes, not machines.

    2. Education is a service that is delivered directly

    by people to people. If faulty, the damage is

    instantly done.

    3. The delivery of a service is simultaneous to itsconsumption.

    4. Standards for service should be right first time

    every time.

    5. There is no assured statement of

    product. The service can only stress it

    process as important to the outcome.

    6. Services are usually rendered directlyto customers by junior employees.

    7.The measurement of outputs in

    service are very difficult. The only

    meaningful performance indicator is

    that of customer satisfaction.

    8. Consumers judge quality by

    comparing their perceptions of what

    they receive with their expectations of

    it!

    experienced in all areas; even where

    salaries are concerned.

    10.Pay Scale is performance, dedication and

    experience oriented and for teaching staff

    it is around 12,000 to 20,000; whereas for

    the non-teaching staff it depends more on

    the educational qualification and market

    salaries.

    infrastructural facilities provided.

    12. For the teaching as well as non-teaching

    staff; a lot of importance is given to

    TEACHERS DAY where they have lots of

    celeberation.

    13. Annually, BCG gurukul holds an intra-

    school Teachers competition in which the

    teachers of all the 5 BCG schools

    participate. This motivates and encouragesthem.

    14. Senior guidance is provided to all the

    junior professors but everyone is still

    considered at par.
