Broward College International Initiatives

Academic Affiliateor International Center

An Academic Affiliate is an institution outside of the United States that has adopted a portion of the curriculum of Broward College.

Students attending the school are generally from the local area. 

The course numbers, titles, descriptions, outlines and student learning outcomes are the same as students follow in Florida.

Faculty teaching in the program are approved by Broward.

The Broward program offered at USIL in Lima, Peru began in March 2009 and was approved by the Commission on Colleges of SACS in 2010.

All courses are taught in English. Students needing remediation must meet a

minimum language proficiency – based on a placement test.

Courses are placed on a Broward transcript.

Broward College:1. approves faculty teaching in program2. oversees instructional program and learning

support3. processes applications from international students 3. enrolls students in our student database4. issues transcripts5. awards Associate of Arts degrees (2 years)6. recognizes courses and credits as equivalent to
