CLTC• Geared toward AZA and BBG members who

want to learn how to build and strengthen their chapter.

• At CLTC, teens have fun with peers from across North America, form mock chapters and together learn specific skills that will help them strengthen and lead their chapter at home.

• A typical day at CLTC includes leadership classes, “how-to” sessions, evening programs, chapter planning and supervised free time.

WHO CAN ATTEND CLTC?• Grades 9-12 can attend, but primarily rising sophomores and juniors.•This program is for BBYO members only.

CLTCWhat will teens be doing?• Learning from a curriculum based on Stephen

Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens focusing on goal setting, organization and prioritization.

• Planning and leading Shabbat experiences based on Jewish values and ritual lessons. Gaining skills on program planning, effective communication and BBYO priorities.

At the end of CLTC, each teen is “evaluated” by their mock chapter advisor. The evaluations are sent home to the regional staff and advisors to assist in fostering relationships throughout the upcoming year and recruiting them for next summer’s program.

• Designed for AZA and BBG members who want to shape their community and are, or aspire to be, council, regional or International leaders.

• At Perlman Camp, teens strengthen their leadership skills and learn new ideas and tools to implement at home.

• Participants expand their network to include teens from around the world, learn how to build and lead a teen movement, and navigate the path towards becoming involved with BBYO Internationally.

What will teens be doing?• Learning by doing, whether it is galvanizing

support for a cause, fundraising, planning a program or leading a Shabbat experience.

• Working as groups, developing teamwork skills and a community of peers.

• Building the world’s largest Jewish teen movement at the International level.

Kallah• Kallah offers a meaningful Judaic experience

where teens are given the opportunity to explore their Jewish identity and engage with spirituality, culture and religion.

• Teens are introduced to the variety of ways they can connect to Jewish life no matter what their interests are. No topic is off limits, and no opinion is taboo, when participants learn as much from their teachers as they do from each other.

• Teens will explore their Judaism through fun electives like music, art, cooking, media and more.

• A community of incredible educators, staff and guests will share the diversity of Jewish life and help teens explore who they are and who they want to become.

• Developing a custom schedule of sessions where teens explore their interests and learn from peers, Jewish thought leaders, rabbis and educators.

• Interacting with Jewish life through cutting-edge programming and traditional and modern texts, literature, music, the arts and cooking.

• Learning how to lead peers and support AZA and BBG programming as a Jewish leader.

BBYO’s Summer Experiences on campus give teens an opportunity to further explore their commitment to community leadership.

Whether they are interested in entrepreneurship, service, advocacy or philanthropy, participants connect to experts in the field and unique hands-on learning experiences.

Our on campus programs bring teens to revered campuses, where they live in residence halls, and exciting cities that offer opportunities for leading and living a fun and impactful two weeks with peers from across the world.

• Grades 9-12•This program is for BBYO members and non-members.•This program is for both BBYO teen leaders and others.•Teens interested in Stand Up, J-Serve, Service, Advocacy, and Philanthropy.•Teens looking for another BBYO Summer Experience track.

IMPACT• Teens get a taste for college life after living in the

university dorms of their host campus. • Teens learn in classrooms and are supported by

BBYO’s Impact partner, Hillel, for unique on campus programming.

• Teens make their host-city a second home. With visits to landmarks and locals’ favorite locations, teens will learn how to navigate and live in some of the world’s most exciting cities.

• Teens learn how to Stand UP for the issues and causes that matter to them. Guided by talented BBYO staff, alumni and community leaders, teens learn by doing service, advocacy and philanthropy and gain new skills they can use at home and into adulthood.

• Teens will receive approximately 35-45 community service hours for their participation at the IMPACT programs in Boston, Chicago and DC.

IMPACT: DC at University of Maryland

What will teens be doing?

• Going behind the scenes at the US Capitol and White House; visiting the national monuments, Holocaust and Smithsonian museums, Georgetown and more!

• Working with premier non-profit organizations and meeting issue experts.

• Living and learning on the campus of the University of Maryland’s Hillel, one of the largest and most active in the world.

BBYO Michigan Business and Entrepreneurship Institute @ University of Michigan

• The BBYO Michigan Business and Entrepreneurship Institute highlights Jewish business leadership and engages teens to learn through classroom activities and field trips.

• On campus, participants will learn about competitive advantage, marketing, finance and product development.

• The two-week program, powered by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, concludes with a competition where teens present original business plans to a panel of judges from the local business community and the winners are awarded funding for their business plan.

• BBYO will offer exciting and meaningful content from a Jewish perspective, including Shabbat programming, opportunities to learn about entrepreneurship in Israel and more.

BBYO Michigan Business and Entrepreneurship Institute @ University of Michigan

What will teens be doing?• Experiencing college life at the University of

Michigan by residing in a college residence hall and using the campus facilities, supported by Resident Counselors who oversee campus living.

• When not in class, teens will go to Detroit Tigers baseball games, the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Cedar Point Amusement Park and take part in other sports and recreation activities.

• Teens are gaining business understanding and training to harness their entrepreneurial spirit; confidence from new presentation and public speaking skills; a head start for college and life after graduation.

ILSI• ILSI is for BBYO Teen Leaders, domestic and international - 10th-12th graders. • Program curriculum has been developed with a deeper focus on Jewish leaders in Israeli history through today. • Combines thoughtful learning, experiential touring, and community-based living.

• Teens leave Israel with a fuller understanding of Jewish history, an appreciation for the richness of modern Israeli society, and an enduring connection to the Jewish People. • Teens return to their chapters inspired and impassioned about Israel.• We have major scholarship funds for teens to travel on ILSI who need financial assistance.

• Ambassador to Bulgaria celebrates BBYO’s longstanding relationship with the Jewish community of Bulgaria.

• As an “Ambassador,” teens instill hope in a Jewish community with a remarkable past and join a close-knit community.

•Teens will take part in community service projects, build lasting friendships with local Jewish teens from across eastern Europe, and tour a hidden gem of the global Jewish community.

•Note: No scholarship available nationally unless you combine it with Israel.

Israel Travel

• BBYO has been traveling to Israel since 1956!• BBYO is the leader in Jewish teen travel and Israel is at our core with over 50 trip options.

• We are the leader in offering 3-week experiences.

• There are major national need-based scholarships available for teens, up to $2,000.

Worldwide Experiences

• BBYO Passport offers travel in 5 continents and 16 countries.

• Teens have the option to combine several trips to create a custom summer adventure.

• All trips can be combined with an Israel experience.

March of the Living• April 24- May 8, 2014• Grades 9th-12th

• Cost: $5350• A two-week international experience where teens from around the

world come together each year and bear witness to the destruction of the Holocaust in Poland and then travel to Israel to rejoice in the Jewish Homeland.

• The program commemorates Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Memorial Day, marching from Auschwitz to Birkenau and celebrates Yom HaAtzmaut, Israeli Independence Day, in the streets of Jerusalem.

• $250 deposit due with registration to secure spot (refundable through 3/5/2014, non-refundable and non-transferable after 3/5/2014)

• 3/5/2014 – Additional $750 due (even if teens are anticipating scholarship, they should pay this amount – can be refunded if scholarship awarded exceeds balance due)

• 4/30/14 – Balance due
