Dear Members and Friends of The Metropolitan Museum of Art,

Next May, join me for a week-long cruise on the boutique riverboat Magnifique III, meandering the rivers and canals from Bruges to Amsterdam during tulip season. I’ve explored many Dutch and Flemish masterworks in classes that I teach at both Columbia and The Met. I am excited to share the experience of seeing these extraordinary paintings, sculptures and altarpieces in churches and museums throughout Belgium and Holland, encountering timeless classics on their native soil.

This spring trip offers us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: we will be among the first to behold Jan van Eyck’s partially restored Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, the iconic Ghent Altarpiece, in its original home, Saint Bavo’s Cathedral. I look forward to this opportunity to share my insights on this paragon of the Early Northern Renaissance, along with works by Rembrandt, Rubens, and other Old Masters of the Baroque era.

I hope you’ll join me on this memorable tour.Sincerely,Page KnoxLecturer and EducatorThe Metropolitan Museum of Art
