Human resource management professionals are an important strategic partner with operations

in almost all private, government, and nonprofit organizations. All organizations recognize the

importance of building personnel and creating an environment that enhances culture, efficiency,

employee satisfaction, and productivity. Human resource management professionals play a vital,

strategic role in developing and maintaining the organizational culture. The field encompasses

various specialties, including compensation, recruiting, benefits administration, and labor relations,

as well as the generalist whose knowledge covers a number of different human resource management

functions. All human resource management professionals require business knowledge, technology

skills, interpersonal communications, and the understanding of strategic processes so they can assist

an organization in achieving its goals, including motivating and retaining qualified employees.

The bachelor of business administration degree (BBA) in Human

Resource Management (HRM) provides the student with a well-

rounded education. Managing Human Resource (HR) functions

has evolved into a critical aspect of an organization’s management

process, and Human resource management professionals

play a vital, strategic role in developing and maintaining the

organizational culture.

The HRM major focuses on the systems, programs, and processes that

effectively manage an organization’s employees. The overall objective
