By design, the back focus ring would not tighten completely when the two side screws were fully tightened. This was causing the cameras to lose focus when installed in a location where vibration is a factor. Action: To correct this issue Baxall has made a correction to the back focus ring design. All cameras with date code 7-1-05 and newer will have the new back focus ring assembly. The two backfocus screws will now fully tighten the back focus ring not allowing any movement when fully tightened. To correct the issue with the old style of back focus ring Baxall has made an Anti-Vibration kit. This kit is available but as of yet does not have a part number. If you have a customer who is experiencing a loss of focus due to vibration, an anti-vibration kit can be sent to them. The kit does not have a part # as of yet but it is in the works. For now, if an anti vibration kit is needed for a DFA camera you can contact Daniel Castro, Dan Howard, or Kim Schneider for assistance. 1 of 2

Baxall Camera Focus Issue

Results(Give detailed instructions/ explanation of how to fix the problem or issue)

Summary: The Baxall made line of cameras that include

CC3610H-6(X), MC3610H-6(X), CC3710H-6(X), MC3710H-6(X), CC3770H-6(X)

CC3610H-7(X), MC3610H-7(X), CC3710H-7(X), MC3710H-7(X), CC3770H-7(X)

Prior to date code 7-1-05 cameras have the old style of back focus ring.
