BATTLE OF LEXINGTON AND CONCORD

THE START• 1800 British soldiers marched out of Boston and headed for Concord were a

weapons depot was.

• The British shout and killed or injured 18 minute men on the Lexington green at the battle of Lexington.

THE MIDDLE • When they got to the north bridge at concord many colonial soldiers were there. They

stopped the British advance at the bridge and sent them back to Boston.

THE END• On the way back to Boston colonial snipers started to pick the British soldiers off as they

marched back to Boston.

• They finally made it back to Boston. When they arrived they were protected by their guns on their ships

AFTERMATH • The British lost about 250 men and 19 officers

• The Colonials lost about 90 men

• This battle started the siege of Boston

• This battle also started the Revolutionary war
