Slide 3Text Captions: There are several different ways into the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. Firstly, if you know the name of the person you are looking for, you can simply type the name into the Quick Search box at the top right of the page.If you are unsure how to spell the name, you can use the asterisk (*) to replace any unknown letters.

Slide 5 Slide 6Text Captions: You can use a different search technique if you want to find a group of people with a similar profile. Click on the Search tab at the top of the page, then on People in the orange bar.
