Importance of Timesheets

What You Should Know About…

Proper Time Charging:

• It is a legal requirement at Battelle

• Failure to comply can subject both Battelle and the employee to legal sanctions

• It reflects on Battelle’s integrity and affects its reputation as a professional

research and development organization

Recording Your Time:

• Battelle uses an electronic time recording system (Catalyst) to ensure that all

labor costs are charged properly to its clients

• You are required to complete a web-based training titled “Catalyst – Time

Reporting – All Staff” within your first two weeks of employment. Your completion of the course will be recorded in your Battelle record

file

For more information, see the Catalyst time recording procedure on our

intranet under the Battelle Standards-Based Management System

(SBMS)
