Physician’s PortalPhysician’s Portal is used by all clinicians to review patient documentation, including

ancillary staff, nursing staff, and physician’s.

Accessing Portal Double click on Internet Explorer from any computer within the facility. Click the Physician Portal link on the desktop (inside the hospital)

or www.brgmd.org (outside of the hospital network).

Type your Username and Password (make sure Caps Locks is not on).

Opening Page

The Physician Portal will open to the Patient Search Page.A patient must be selected prior to clicking on any other pages.

Portal CustomizationTo personalize your portal, click on the Edit Button and make changes

from the options available. Click Save to keep the changes or Reset to revert back to the

Administrative defaults. (You can personalize any module that has an edit button)

Patient Search

• Nursing Unit Census Search provides the ability to search for patients by nursing unit. Click on “Get Census”.

• Patient Search allows you to search for patients by name. Click on “Search”

Patient Search

• When searching by name, always click on “Visits”.

• This will provide a list of encounters, to ensure correct encounter selection for review and/or order entry.

Summary Viewer

• 6 secondary pages within the Summary Viewer provide comprehensive patient data, including: Vital Signs, I&O’s, Lab results, Rad results, Physician Dictations, and Emergency Room reports.

Nursing and Ancillary FlowsheetsThe Flowsheet modules displays nursing and ancillary documentation.

Multiple reviews are available under the “Report:” selection.

Cumulative Lab Review

Displays lab results in a cumulative format that can be modified by changing the time intervals and number of columns displayed.

Lab Reports and Radiology Images

This module allows you to access and view individual results from Lab and Radiology. These results can be printed.

All results are available across encounters if the Days back are modified or the specific encounter is chosen.

ER/OR/Dictated Reports

ER charts, OR documentation, and Physician dictations are available from this screen.

MD Reports

Progress Notes can be generated by clicking “Generate Report”, then click “View”, then Print. Notes are written and placed in the Chart.

OrdersThe Orders module displays the current orders

for the selected patient. Electronic orders are entered via the “Enter Orders” button.

Ensuring the correct account has been selected at this step is imperative.

Medications

The MAR module displays the medication orders and administration information.

Clicking on Last Given will provide dose details

Patient Information

Patient information contains the patient’s clinical history, demographic information, and home medication list.

EMREMR is the permanent medical record.

All written documents are scanned after discharge and can be reviewed.
