He escalates the scales against Batman by brainwashing a police officer to become a violent vigilante &

framing Batman for

kidnapping the Mayor's daughter.

Strange was able to capture Batman through a complex feint scheme with an illegitimate hospital, and numerous trained venomous snakes.

Then he simply removed his mask without hesitation, and became Bruce Wayne himself.

The original red hood was a petty criminal who fell into a vat of chemicals during a robbery.

This incident mutilates the criminal, who years later

emerges as the joker.

Red hoodAfter the joker kidnaps, tortures

& leaves him to die, Jason TODD, the second robin,

becomes the red hood, killing criminals with no remorse.

After all his killings he leaves behind a calling card which

states "let the punishment fit the crime."

brilliant neurosurgeon and a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne.

in forewarning both Batman and the police of his capers by sending them

complex clues.

them in a deathtrap to

see if he can devise a life and death intellectual challenge that the hero

can not solve and escape.

true identity but devastatingly realized that he couldn't actually really use the information to his advantage, as
