BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT.

In the opening sequence of Batman the dark knight, the first shot shows and man holding a mask, it then zooms in giving you a extreme close up of the mask and starts to reveal who the main antagonist is going to be as later on the opening sequence we see the mask shown again during the bank robbery.

This crane shot is used to show high angles and to highlight how high the characters are, it is also used to highlight an element of danger and the extent at which the robbers will go to get the money, it also makes the audience want to carry on watching the film to see what other elements of danger they would go through.

The use of the close up in shot three, shows what sort of people the character's are going to be, as the mask used is quite scary masks, you know that there is going to be some sort of trouble or violence used by the characters and it makes you want to know what is going to happen throughout the rest of the film. Also the use of dialogue, as the two people with masks on are talking about the joker at the time and who he is and it makes you want to carry on watching to find out who the character is.

In shot four it gives you an establishing shot of the room and what is going on, it shows one of the robbers taking a huge amount of money from a large safe, highlighting how extreme the robbery is and the extent at which they have gone to get it, and it makes the audience wonder what is going to happen when others find out.

The use of this action shot shows a bus crashing through the front of the bank, this shows an interest to the audience as it gives you an element of surprise as you don’t know what is going on and what is going to happen next.

In shot 6 it gives you an extreme close up and it reveals who the antagonist is. It also highlights the scars on his face and the use of make-up, which shows danger and mystery of who they are, and why they are dressed like that, so it triggers the audience to stay and watch what happens in the rest of the movie.
