This is a big week for all of us, with excursions for Stage 2 and Kinder (their first trip, heading off to Orange!), the GRIP student leadership conference, public speaking and debating events, as well as some sporting competitions. Given the variety and scope of activities across the Years this week, it’s easy to see why we are the school of opportunity! I hope everyone has a great time at their respective events! A special invitation Speaking of opportunity, our school leaders and I have been invited by the Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole, to meet with the NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian on Wednesday afternoon at the Bathurst RSL Club. Ms Berejiklian is making a flying visit to Bathurst and we are very lucky to have been given the opportunity to discuss issues with her around education and ask questions about her role. Our great leaders meeting the leader of NSW is a lovely opportunity and an experience I’m sure they will long remember. Car parks Changes to car park arrangements to improve safety will be announced and explained very soon! In the meantime, maintain vigilance and care at all times – the lives of our little ones are at stake. Please refrain at all from using the main car park unless you have disabled parking rights or are accessing the CWOOSH program before or after school, and please do not use this area at all for pedestrian access. The paths around are much safer. You will also notice No Parking signs along the new fence in the gravel car park. Please comply with these signs at all times. Thanks for helping us to look after our kids. Riddle of the week Due to my attendance at professional development last Friday, the riddle remains: Mr Smith has 4 daughters. Each of his daughters has a brother. How many children does Mr Smith have?
