Restoration Fund

Interested in donating to the Basilica’s Restoration Project? The Basilica is showing its age, with struc-tural cracks and other deterioration. According to an engineer’s assessment, structural repairs amount-ing to approximately $14 million are necessary to adequately address the problems of water infiltra-tion. Following that is interior remodeling, estimated at an additional $5.6 million.

Extraordinary Ministers Needed

Form a closer relationship with Jesus Christ through the Eucharist! Volunteer with the church as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EM). EMs assist our Carmelite Fathers by helping distribute Holy Communion at Mass and by visiting the sick and home bound.

A short training session teach-es ministers about the handling of the Eucharist and special situations that sometimes arise. Training for this minis-try is being offered soon.

Did you know?

The choice of St. Thérèse as our provincial patron can be traced back to the events of her beatification in 1923. In

February 1923, the final act of the Apostolic Process of St. Thérèse’s cause for beatification and canonization was com-pleted, as the decree approving her miracles was read in

the Consistorial Hall of the Vatican. Pope Pius XI then gave a speech in which he gave tribute to the Little Flower. “With all our heart we congratulate the religious family of Carmel on

the new flower which the charity of the Divine Heart has caused to spring up in their garden…”

Lord, hear our prayers… The following family, friends and members of Little Flower Parish need your prayers.
