About the Workshop

A Workshop on the Basics of Analog Circuits is a

short term training program(STTP), an initiative

taken by IIT Bhilai, under the sponsorship of

TEQIP-III CSVTU Bhilai, for the faculties,

researchers and the laboratory assistants of

CSVTU institutes where the lab facilities are

limited or yet to be constructed. The workshop

focus on the basics of electronic devices and

their application in designing basic and advance

electronic circuit. The expert talks and hands-on

practical on these fundamental topics will help

the participants to understand the recent trends

on circuit theory and IC Fabrication.

The purpose of the workshop is not only to give

an exposure and hand on training on the basic

analog circuits in a lab of a IIT but also to provide

supporting theoretical discussion and interactive

sessions. We also expect that the bridge that will

be formed between IIT and the participating

institutes will lead to a long term collaboration

and knowledge exchange in upcoming future.

We also expect that this training program will

bring a value addition to our educational system

as IIT Bhilai holds a promise to do so.

Features of the Workshop

Ÿ Five interactive theoretical sessions by the

experts from IIT Bhilai

Ÿ 20 hours of hands on practical lab session

Ÿ Introductory discussion on semiconductor

devices and recent trends on fabrication

technology

Ÿ Understanding of op amps from fundamental

theory, non ideality analysis and practical

implementation.

Ÿ Tutorial on SPICE Simulation

Ÿ Introductory discussion on emerging

fractional order circuit theory
