Fecha means date ** asking about the number in the month (1-31), not the day of the week (Monday – Sunday). (in Latin America the week start on a Monday)

Día means day. Asking about the day of the week: lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado, domingo(days of the week in Latin America are NOT capitalized)
