Soon entering the eighth grade at Stanford Online High School, David Choi started piano lessons at age 5 under the direction of

his mother, Won Choi. In the same year, he entered the Dallas Solo Piano Competition as the youngest participant and placed

fourth in his division. Since then, he has won various competitions including the Texas winner of Music Teachers National

Association (MTNA) Competition (2020), first place in the Memphis International Piano Festival and Competition (2020), third

place in the Weatherford College International Piano competition (2020), first place of the Junior Piano Concerto in Collin County

Young Artists Competition (2020), first place for intermediate concerto in Dallas Symphonic Festival (2020 and 2018), first place in

the University of Texas at Arlington Keyboard Competition (2019, 2017, and 2016), Grand Prix winner in the 13 th International

Youth Piano Competition in Corpus Christi (2018), first place in Houston Young Artists competition (2018), first place in the

Texas A&M - Commerce Youth Piano Competition, and more. Mr. Choi also plays violin in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.

Having started playing the flute at age 8, Reina Shim earned first prize in the Collin County Young Artist Competition and made

her Carnegie Hall debut at age 11 as a Grand Prize winner of Concerto Artist Virtuoso Competition. She has earned the

Outstanding Performer award at the Texas Flute Society Festival twice, gold medal winner of Manhattan International

Competition. In 2020 she won third place in the Music Teachers National Association National Final competition. Finally, she was

named first place winner of MTNA National Competition in 2021. Miss Shim will be in the eighth grade this fall at Pioneer

Heritage Middle School in Frisco, Texas. She is the youngest flute player of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, and as the winner

of last year's GDYO Philharmonic Concerto Competition, performed Mozart Concerto in D Major with GDYO at the Meyerson

Symphony Center.

Violinist Chloé Trevor has combined her spirit for classical music and her passion for mentoring the youth of today to connect on

a personal level with audiences in exciting and innovative ways. Silver medalist of the Ima Hogg Competition, she has appeared as a

soloist with orchestras worldwide, including the Dallas Symphony, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Houston Symphony, Latvian Chamber

Orchestra, Slovak State Philharmonic, Lutoslawski Filharmonie, and the Knoxville Symphony. She made her New York concerto

debut in 2013 and Avery Fisher Hall debut in 2014. Having recently concluded her first tours of Australia, Singapore, Spain, and

Mexico, Ms. Trevor’s upcoming engagements include multiple recitals in North America and appearances with Filarmonía Xalapa,

the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, the Midland Symphony Orchestra, the Boulder Chamber Orchestra, the Bangor Symphony

Orchestra and the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. Dedicated to music education and outreach, 2018 marked the inaugural year of

the Chloé Trevor Music Academy, an intensive two-week program for string players and pianists offering one-on-one instruction,

chamber music coaching, masterclasses, orchestral training, and career guidance by the world's premier soloists, teachers, and

conductors. She completed her undergraduate degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music and her graduate degree as a scholarship

student at Rice University. Ms. Trevor plays a Carlos Landolfi violin made in Italy in 1771.

Soloist, collaborative pianist, chamber musician, producer, and arts administrator Jonathan Tsay maintains an artistic career as

diverse as his interests. In fall 2020, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Piano at The University of Memphis. A sought-after

collaborator, Dr. Tsay has also performed alongside some of the world’s premier musicians, including Chee-Yun, David Cooper

(Principal Horn, Chicago Symphony), Jing Wang (Concertmaster, Hong Kong Philharmonic), dramatic soprano Alessandra Marc,

Chloé Trevor, the Cézanne Quartet, and Nathan Olson (Co-Concertmaster, DSO). Increasingly popular as a masterclass teacher,

Dr. Tsay has given masterclasses at institutions such as Taiwan National University of the Arts, Kaohsiung Normal University,

Stephen F. Austin State University, Seattle University, and University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. he serves as Head of Piano for

the Chloé Trevor Music Academy. He has served on the screening jury for the Dallas International Piano Competition as well as

adjudicator for numerous competitions including Music Teachers National Association, Texas Music Teachers Association Solo

Competition and Austin Youth Music Ambassadors. Dr. Tsay earned a Bachelor of Music with honors at Meadows School of the

Arts at Southern Methodist University. He entered l’Université de Montréal as a Master of Music student and received his

doctorate through an accelerated program.

Cellist Emileigh Vandiver is thrilled to celebrate her second season in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Sun Valley Music

Festival cello sections. She is a versatile musician who has performed with various orchestras across the globe. Previously, she held

positions with the Houston Symphony and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Ms. Vandiver currently serves on faculty at the

Dallas Conservatory and the Texas Music Institute. Previously, she was the cello professor at the University of New Hampshire and

was on faculty at the New England Conservatory of Music’s Preparatory School. Additionally, she served on the cello, solfege, and

chamber music faculty for Project STEP at Boston’s Symphony Hall. Ms. Vandiver completed her undergraduate and master’s

degrees as well as a Graduate Diploma at the New England Conservatory. Committed to civic engagement, Ms. Vandiver performs

regularly in prisons, schools, senior community centers, and on the Music for Food series. She is featured in the cello documentary

Talent Has Hunger. Currently, she is writing two solfege textbooks and a cello method book.
