The mission of Bishop Carroll Baseball
is to develop a program that will
elevate and enhance the student-
athletes’
physical, mental and spiritual education.
Through hard work and discipline,
students will mature and develop
a strong work ethic.
Experiencing teamwork and mental
toughness
will help these student athletes
succeed in life.
Mission Statement
C -Team Philosophy
The C Team is a place where younger players can develop
the skills to move up the ladder. These players will be
taught the fundamentals that are crucial to their
development. C Team players will all get an opportunity
to play. If they are not successful at the C Team level it is
a strong indicator that they will struggle at the next level.
On more than one occasion there have been C- Team
players that have developed into All-City and even All-
State players.
Junior Varsity Team Philosophy
JV is a stepping stone to the Varsity. Certain
players will get an opportunity to compete in one
game at the JV and then join the Varsity for the
second. This helps players gain experience and
allows them to gain confidence in their playing
ability. Players at the JV level will all get an
opportunity to play and improve their skills. If a
player is not successful at the JV level it is a
strong indicator that they will struggle at the
Varsity level as well.
Varsity Team Philosophy
The Varsity roster is composed of players that will
contribute to winning. Each player has a vital role and
will be made aware of what that role is. Players on
Bishop Carroll’s baseball team understand what hard
work is and the rewards that come with it. Practicing
consistently and diligently players will be given
advanced instruction at their positions. Dedication to
the game of baseball and their teammates is a
requirement. If the student-athlete wishes to, I would
like to see all of our graduating players continue playing
in college. (12 currently)
