Please come and celebrate with us in remembering the Easter Season. We now have a website up and run-

I remember sitting in Mrs. Lubonski’s class my junior year of high school and going over college applications. She was informing us that it was time to think about what we wanted to do in our future, and what we wanted to study. After scrolling through a list of majors, nothing caught my eye more than Criminal Jus-

-cer because it would be a rewarding career that would allow me to help others. The best part about working locally is being able to give back to my own community and serve those that I’ve known for many years.

-

Most departments use the following steps, eliminating a number of candidates after each stage: Basic application meeting minimum requirements (Education ect.)

~One or a series of oral interviews~Psychological evaluation~Medical Evaluation~Drug Testing

core fundamentals such as respect, honesty, loyalty and integrity, which I feel are -

ented and helped shape a strong work ethic. If I could give any advice to the youth in my community it would be to give 100% in everything you do. In all aspects of life (school, sports, work, hobbies) having a strong work ethic and giving 100% will build you a positive reputation and open doors for opportunities in the future. For example; if you take a job as a cashier at a local business just for extra for gas money, be the best cashier you can possibly be. Go above and beyond what is expected of you. You know that you are not going to be there forever, it’s only a job and not your career; however, when a bigger and better opportunity opens, it’s your co-workers, teachers, and supervi-sors that will be asked about your attitude, work-ethic and demeanor. It’s those high school years that one can build a great foundation that will mold them into a successful adult. Finally, surround yourself with other goal-oriented, positive people. Seeing family and friends succeed will only drive you to push harder towards your goals.

that you could have easily obtained. In all, enjoy your youth! It’s the best time of your life. I think about how much I miss high school and grade school everyday. Believe me; you won’t realize it until it’s gone so ENJOY IT AND BE SAFE!

CREATING FREEDOM THROUGH BANKRUPTCY

In March, the Shade Tree Commission will be planting trees in the park-strip in front

who requested shade trees. We have many areas in town that are in need of shade trees. Our goal is to have tree-lined streets throughout town. Trees im-prove the quality of life from both an aesthetic viewpoint as well as environmental. Shade trees provide homes for wildlife, they drink ground water, gener-ate oxygen and help reduce en-ergy costs by providing valuable shade. Just drive down any tree-lined street and see how much beauty the trees bring. If you would like to have a shade tree in front of your home, we have a list of trees that are recommend-ed for our region from which you can choose based on availability. Just contact the commission and we will have a mark-out done to make sure your location is suit-able for a shade tree. You can e-mail tshannon@barringtonboro.

com to be put on the list.

The mission of the Shade Tree Commission is as follows:

rington a green community.”

There are two openings on the Commission for Alternates. If you would be interested in serv-ing on the Commission, e-mail the address shown above or you can call 856-547-0706.
