Brook,
The CUP is a 2-step process. The first step is to apply for a nonfarm dwelling deposit, and you/they pay 10% of the CUP fee (ten percent of$3,200 is $320.00) and we send them a packet of information. They use that packet to answer all the questions in the nonfarm dwellingapplication. It generally takes 3-4 weeks for us to send you the packet. However long it takes for you to then put together the nonfarmdwellingapplication is totally in your hands. Once you then formally submit for the CUP, it can take anywhere from6-10 weeks for an administrativedecision, or, if it has to go to a public hearing, it can take 4-6 months. Your client will have to pay the CUP fee ($3,200.00) plus a Hearings Officerdeposit fee of an additional $3,000.00.

Paul,
On this property 66355 Barr Rd
Can you tell me the process for the Seller to start the CUP and sent the documents required so I can forward to him on the east coast?
How long does it take to get a CUP?
thank you

If it was approved once before, I would think that it could be approved again. Obviously no guarantees, and it is probably a good idea to get theCUP and have it in hand.

Paul,
I visited the property this morning and the property has not changed much in the last 10 years. If the CUP was approved then, have there beenany changes that would make it difficult to have it approved again?
If the Seller doesn't renew the CUP, is a Buyer going to have a trouble getting the CUP with current zoning laws?
thank you

Brook,
It is zoned Exclusive Farm Use (EFU-TRB), which means that a conditional use permit for a nonfarm dwelling will be required. There was aCUP approved back in 2002 (CU-02-11), but it has long since expired. So, it would need to be applied for again.
Check with Todd Cleveland in our office (541-617-4714) about the septic site evaluation on record. It is fairly old, so you would want to checkwith him to see if it needs to be "re-upped."
Paul
